[Kingpin]

There've been a few 3D models made of Hook & Ladder 8 in New York (I made one myself about 5-6 years ago), however I don't think I've ever seen anyone make a 3D model of Fire Station 23 in Los Angeles, until now:



The mode was made by Thom Schillinger, whose blog can be viewed here, and is an impressive recreation of the building that was built in 1910. He even has the model available to purchase on Turbosquid for $120.

There's been some artistic licence taken, but it's a fantastic starting point.

I did a render test while applying with bizarre entertainment before they shut the doors forever. It was a downtown city corner on Broadway. I included the firehouse just for kicks. Nothing this fancy since it was all low poly, for Xbox era games. But this sucker looks really fancy!
