i picked this plexiglass sign from a yard-sale in the west end of Vancouver a while ago.
$20 at one of these is typically a lot, but when looked close and felt this little plastic sign, it wasnt hard to give up.
the old-guy selling this stuff said 'it came from the set'.
thats it, whatever, didnt matter, happily along...
later, looking at this sign i realize a few things about it.
it is VERY high quality. it is professional. not consumer grade, not promotional grade. slight random details, a professionally made one-off?
it wasnt on a game or for a game or in a store...
it shows its age. that piece of plexiglas has been a sign part for an easy 30+ years. gouges, scuffs, stress marks and an odd overall warp say that clearly.
the shiny face of the sign tho is beautiful.
the sign is also (conveniently or coincidentally) just about the exact same size as a standard sort of 'EXIT' sign that might hang from the celling.
the more i look at it, the more i think
that old guy was probably right.
who else could have or would have done then?
im looking to find it in the movie itself, but i havent actually gotten THAT far yet
if anyone has a opinion, educated, experienced, speculative or not, please share them.
i just need to know from where this came....
and thanks much
