Interesting that they appear to have changed the Funko cover. The Funko cover this issue was originally solicited with had the original Ghostbusters on it--now it's Holtzmann and the ATC ECTO-1. Which of course is far more appropriate to an ATC comic. (After all, the IDW Ghostbusters had a full Funko one-shot all of their own.)

Correct. Tom posted the updated cover on February 13. Scroll up the page, I should have posted about it here around that time.
That's pretty neat the solution turned out to mirror Winston's plan in "Mr. Sandman, Dream Me a Dream" - control the dream.
Interesting twist they all briefly met in their teens in this continuity but blocked out the memory because of the explosion.
Funniest bit was Abby revealing her soup obsession was a memory implanted by Holtzmann.
Makes sense Kruger's plan was pasting the Nightmare-Scape, that he can control, onto the physical plane and therefore become a god.
My only nitpick was the No Ghost logo on page 8. Dah!
It will be amusing if they lure Kruger to St. Paul's to severely weaken him by detonating Holtzmann's prototype.

Issue #5's release date has moved from April 11 to May 9.
Aside from the usual Diamond stuff, Howell finished on March 16. I didn't expect the April 11 date to hold since the lettering and coloring needed to be done, then the comic printed then shipped to the States, etc. Early May makes better sense.
Makes sense Erin would find Abby in the Nightmare-Scape given they're best buds and Patty would end up in the St. Paul's Chapel first since she seemed to have the most regret over the incident. Clever plan to ambush Kruger in their memory to weaken him enough for Kevin, of all people, to trap him on the physical plane. Good thing Kruger totally discounted the secretary like Sandman did in RGB.
All in all, an okay mini-series. I'd give it a B at most. I'm on the fence if I'd want another or since we have Crossing Over going on - let one of the other parallel universe teams have their own like RGB, EGB, etc. at some point. But for now, glad this series finally got to conclude after all the delays.

I decided not to talk about this series until I'd read it all. And I'll just say, I loved it from start to finish. Oops, excuse me, I mean, "finish." Cos a Ghostbuster's work is never finished. It was a heartwarming series and I loved how, not only was it funny and Ghostbuster-ish, it strengthened the team' s bonds with each other. Something we don't see enough of with the Primes. And another thing we don't get enough of with the Primes, fully acknowledging the secretary as 100% part of the team.

Completely echo these sentiments, wasn't a ground breaking story but was a pleasure to read and always fun to get more of these characters.
My one issue is it didn't feel like it needed 5 parts but this could be more to do with the long drawn out and delayed release schedule that definitely ruined the momentum a little. Will give them a re-read in one sitting and see if I feel the same.

I’ve enjoyed it throughout, and was both glad to see the ATC team totally able to carry a solo story, and also a creative team able to capture the spirit of the movie the way Erik and Dan have previously been the only ones really able to do. I hope to see more Ghostbusters from Kelly and Corin soon, be it ATC or otherwise!
That said, one more here for lamenting the scheduling issues. It seems Ghostbusters as a whole can’t get a break when it comes to getting comics in shops.

Yeah, I really liked the darker artstyle when compared to clean, more cartoony yet very detailed drawings of Erik and Dan. Both styles a nice, I just prefer the grittier tone. Nice story, perhaps not as deep as it could have been, but fun backgroundstories, and a great villain. Here's hoping for more!

I don't know about Kelly Thompson because I recall she signed an exclusive to Marvel back in January and on her Twitter, she basically said she's not doing any more Ghostbusters any time soon.

Overall I enjoyed it, but yeah... the delays DEFINITELY killed the momentum. I really hope we get a second comic with this crew as I'm seeing how the team evolves more. It was pretty cool seeing a relatively new team take on a threat this large. The originals are seasoned and prepared for ALMOST any situation. The ATC crew is still developing their tech and team skills, so this whole adventure felt fresh.

That’s a shame. I hope at least it’s just a ‘moving on to better things’ rather than frustration at the delays killing the excitement. Either way, I’m glad we had them for this one run.

Picked up issue 5 over the weekend. Not a bad series. I don't think it need 5 issues though. Liked the writing for the most part, art, verdict is still out. I still feel that the main prime series is the better of 2 but for serious fans of the ATC universe it's a good series.

To be fair, the prime series has had more time to flesh out its characters and story arcs. I think we need a bit more time with the ATC crew and to give them some more to do so we can get more inside their heads and see their daily routines. At most right now, we have them interacting with the Prime crew, and now their first real solo adventure beyond their origin story.

I think Burnham has nailed them better than the writers on this series did.
How did I manage to miss that Erin’s fear of bees comes from the ATC gag reel when Kristen Wiig is chased by a bee outside the HQ?! It seemed such an odd thing to add, but it was right in front of me the whole time!
