The NET Busters' slime guy Clint Hanna found these plastic containers at Wal-Mart and thought they'd make good slime jars. I did too so I bought a set and whipped me up some slime. I printed off some labels and presto - a cool slime collection to display on our table at the next appearance.

My slime recipe is simple. Here's what I used.

Image

The green slime came right out of the bottle. The clear hand soap served as the base for everything else due to its high viscosity.

The positive pink slime is mostly Palmolive with a little Hand Soap. The negative pink slime is Hand Soap, a tiny dash of pink Rit dye (not much, that crap turns purple quick), and a mix of Palmolive and a little Dawn. Black slime is Hand Soap and the entire package of black Rit dye. The clear slime is Hand Soap and a splash of Dawn to make it cloudy. The labels were photoshopped and printed on vinyl sheets from onlinelabels.com, item #OL177LP (for laser printers). I use them for pack/trap labels, etc. And everything except the labels came from Wal-Mart.

I'm also thinking about rigging up an air hose from the bottom of the pink slime to a voice-activated triggering mechanism. Sounds crazy but it just might work.

neat, but just swap the labels for the positive and negatively charged pink slime. The positively charged stuff used in the slime blowers is more frothy and thicker pink. The thinner stuff is the negative goo. (courtroom, van horne collection sample, etc.) You got the two mixed up.

Amazing job man, those look amazing. The caution striping and the labels really make them stand out

Absolutely love these Slime displays! Tried looking for the jars at Walmart and our Dollar Stores with no luck at all! Only closest thing we had were glass ones shaped oddly, so the search continues! Great inspiration here! Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic idea you had here! It’s so good in fact that I had to do something similar myself.

For those looking for these jars, they are really great! I found them at Walmart and Target. Sometimes they’re loose on display, other times you’ll find them packaged in a box being sold as a set….the box set is good….4 jars of different sizes for $20. They’re shatterproof plastic and have a really good seal. You can turn them upside down and leave them that way when filled with slime with no leakage. I’d say the hardest part is doing the labels. Amazon seemed the cheapest, but there’s no real template to use so you end up using half your printer ink lining everything up.

Other than that, I don’t think I would of thought of this myself, so THANK YOU again for the idea; they’re going to look great in my GB display.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone. Our slime collection will be on display among other things next weekend at Busterpalooza in Houston. We'll have the screen accurate toaster and Sony Walkman playing "Higher and Higher" for the fans.

For those of you wanting to make your own labels, the simplest way is to print them on one sheet of sticker paper and then cut them out. I use vinyl sticker paper from http://www.onlinelabels.com. I've also included the label template I created but I've modified it so you can include your own franchise logo or otherwise at the tops of each label. They're just a little over 3" in diameter. Feel free to print and edit to fit your needs.

Home Depot....It's in the section where they sell "for sale" signs and mail box numbers. It comes in 2" widths and you need to cut it down to 1".
