I think this is the most perfect tribute. I can't say anything else more than that. It's a film school with a major focus of comedy.

As a graduate of The Second City Conservatory and the Second City Musical Improv Conservatory, I can tell you that they do not need to capitalize on his name. The school has thousands of students at anytime with more waiting in the wings for a spot. This is their way to honor an alumni who took their method of story telling and applied it to film. I never met him personally, but I think (from what I have heard of him when he would visit the school) that he would get a kick out of this.

I think they did good.

I went to SC, too...guess we had different experiences.

Lots of people waiting in the wings...but always name-drop the biggest when you get the chance. It may just be a short list for alumni that went on to bigger contributions in filmmaking. That makes sense to go with Ramis.

It was life changing for me. But my point was more that I do think they are trying to honor his memory and not make money from it. I'm sorry your Second City experience was not the best. I hope you are still playing and having fun on stage.

I kinda fell on hard times when the economy took a nose-dive in 08. Lost the day-job that paid half of my living expenses and couldn't stay afloat with the passion alone.
