I grew up obsessing over the films and cartoon with my older brother. I was probably 3 (so 1989) when I first saw a VHS recording that my parents censored to the best of their ability. The visuals in Ghostbusters played a large part in my interest in art and thus my career.
I have had several dreams where I am in the middle of a Ghostbusters /TMNT crossover movie with the original cast. I wake up disappointed that it will never happen.
I recently made my first proton pack and suit for PAX East 2016. I came here to lurk within all the awesome reference and advice. This site was my main resource for getting the job done. Specifically, it was the post "THE BEST REFERENCE PHOTOS EVER AVAILABLE!!!" that helped me out. Next on the list is the goggles, trap, PKE meter, and a few things to hang off my belt.
I have a fun, relaxed cardboard and duct tape style to my costumes that is meant to look like my inner child took the wheel.
I'm well aware that the style is not for everyone but I really love it.
