Hi Folks!

I'm Shawn with the Delaware Ghostbusters / Transylvanian Ghostbusters. I'm going to an event tonight with the DEGB where I had to have a Proton Wand with lights. I threw this together real quick in a couple evenings this week for under $30. It is certainly nowhere near accurate, and before our next event I want to add details and cover up some spots that light is spilling out where it shouldn't be. For the time and cost though I'm pretty happy with what I ended up with.

For my quick lights I used this "twinkling" multicolor strand of LEDs from amazon. http://www.amazon.com/BZONE-Virtually-W ... B00WE1NOQ0
I had attempted to install a momentary push button instead of having to use the button on the battery pack but it proved unsuccessful. The circuit board is set up so that whenever it loses power it resets and I would have had to hold down the momentary button AND press the button on the battery pack to get it to work. A bit annoying but for $9 I'll take it. That's why I ended up mounting the battery pack in the place of the heatsink rather than inside the wand.
