The more I read of IDW's Ghostbusters books, the more I wish Ghost Corps/Sony could purchase the rights to the Filmation GB franchise, from DreamWorks. That way, they can be an official part of the multiverse, instead of a one-off Dapper Dan nod in Ghostbusters Get Real.
I'm game for for an Extreme Ghostbusters crossover. 20th anniversary in September...

Thanks! Yes, I agree. That definitely looks like them.

Yes, that could be a key component to it. I'm sure whatever the solution they use, there'll be consequences. Erik's pretty on the ball with that throughout his writing since his first arc on Infestation.

You and me both sir. As I have said I was introduced to the world of Ghostbusters from the 1984 film. Then when Both The Real Ghostbusters and Filmation's Ghostbusters aired weeks apart how is a six year old supposed to know one is not related to the other. For me a team up would bring everything full circle. .
Even though the 2 references in Get Real we're just Easter eggs I found them to be very amusing and very welcome. Oh and let's not forget the Filmation references in earlier issues. In the first arc Ron was testing his equipment on a crash test Dummy that had a picture of a ghost very similar to the Filmation Logo and in the second arc when Roger was flipping through channels on Janine's tv and we see two characters that look very much like Tracy And Bratarat. With the rights in the hands of Dreamworks a crossover may be possible. If the rights still belonged to Lou Schiemer I would say No Way. Lou would have every right to say no to Sony since they did kinda screw him over when he agreed to let Sony use the name.
The interesting thing is Eric, Dan and Tom had I guess discussed it briefly and to them they didn't know who the rights belonged too and they said that A Filmation Ghostbusters crossover pales in comparison to what they currently have planned. .
All I know is that anything is possible especially with that Interdimensional portal at play.
The Yellow Ectoplasm being a pink slime-lite -- so Janine was worried about Egon so when they popped back in at the end of Vol. 2 #3, the slime did it's thing and enhanced her feelings then that led to the kiss. lol.

Jim is based on Ghosthead Tom Gebhardt. On FB, Gebhardt posted a message from Schoening confirming this.
So by process of elimination, Erin should be the #5 RI cover. That just leaves Peter, Winston, and Janine to be revealed. Janine probably will be the back of #6's.
The yellow slime as pink slime lite thing is also possibly a nice nod to the Pozo episode of RGB, I think it was Partners in Slime? Mood slime was yellow in that one!
Knew the reporter on TV in 101 #3 was from something. So when Jim and Cal show Holtzmann the news report, the Ghostbusters are on screen talking to a reporter -- page 5 and 6 I think. He's from "Eye on New York" in the RGB episode "The Moaning Stones" who interviewed Nuxom about the stones at the start of the episode.

Good memory. But it also would turn red when Peter became angry. So I lean towards coincidence. I have so many slime questions for Erik now, looking back on the comics. lol.

Yeah, I think I'm a little iffy on the whole "different colored slimes do different things" idea. I loved most of Geoff Johns' Green Lantern run, but ectoplasm doesn't have to be as color co-ordinated as Lantern rings :lol
Well it does kind of come straight from the primary canon! Green, pink and black slime, and their different qualities, come directly from the films and the video game. It seems a reasonable form for the IDW team to play with!

Plus they left the door open on different types in the Video Game. Winston observed seeing Blue and Yellow Ectoplasms in the Slime Labs in the realistic versions then in the stylized versions, I believe there were also Orange and Red in the tubes.

Hey I know this may be reaching, but there are also different color Slime in the Kenner Toy Line. Blue Slime, Yellow Slime, Pink Slime And Purple Slime. The Kenner Slime is one of the things that always pops in my head when I hear Winston list off the slime in that portion of the game.
I think I am starting to find the properties of ectoplasm just as interesting as Dr Spengler or Dr Stanz. I think I need help.

Nice! I especially love the mashing up of the different teams gear. Hope it paves the way for us all to get a bit more creative in how we put together our costumes. Wonder if we'll see a combining of pack tech at any point (my partners uniform is a combo of ATC jumpsuit, RGB gadgets + OGB goggles but can't decide which pack to go with so we're holding off building one until the 101 runs over)
Starting at around the 45:45 mark, they're asked about what's after 101 *They're not quite sure yet. There are a couple ideas. "They" want more. It depends on what is greenlit first. *Dan says he's just finishing pencils on 101 #5 and he should be done with #6 in 4 to 4.5 weeks. *Erik reiterates at the end of 101, the two universes will be separate again but they now know about each other. *They confirm Garrett Parker is autistic. *Erik and Dan will be at San Diego Comic Con.

The last panel makes me wonder what their (the ATC crew) prime counterparts would be?

While it was just an easter egg in GBI, we did seem them apply for the job opening that Kevin Tanaka got. So it's possible they're still involved in the field somehow. Or still teaching at a university.
Erik Burnham saw Dan Schoening's thumbnails for 101 #6 (as a recap, that means he's starting on art) and hinted he 'called out a "Mondrian" layout he's gonna slay with.' https://twitter.com/erikburnham/status/ ... 1022956545
Kylie Griffin: I was a little girl. Twelve years ago. Jack's parents came over for dinner. We were playing in my room. The Grundel came through the window and grabbed him. I tried to save him, but the Grundel swatted me away. Said he'd come back for me… someday. Nobody believed me. They thought it was a kidnapper. Jack was never found. Roland Jackson: It's OK, Kylie. Kylie Griffin: I blocked it from my memory. Until it came back last night. -Extreme Ghostbusters - Grundlesque (early script)
