Seriously? That's what they get for waiting until Harold Ramis passed away to record this. In the GB1 commentary he's the one constantly keeping the conversation flowing, remembering details. Did they talk about deleted scenes? I'm so disappointed to hear it's not a very good commentary.

Can anyone put my mind at ease about the region of the discs? Just because Amazon has changed its mind in the last week! Are they really region free? Don't fancy shelling out to find they don't play in the UK, but I obviously really want them!

Can anyone who has bought this confirm the quality of the Digital downloads and what all is digital?

Is the digital download 4K HD ? And are the deleted scenes available from digital? I don't own a bluray player but would pick this up if everything on the discs is available from the digital...

I second this. If the del scenes are downloadable I'll purchase. Otherwise getting out my bluray player is a pain in the neck.

Sony is going to be keeping a close eye on video hosts like Daily Motion and Youtube. Either you'll just have to console yourself with waiting for some time, or knuckle downand buy the BluRay.

The 4k uhd bluray takes a special player, plus you'll need HDR 4k TV and probably over 60" TV before you notice a difference. . other wise the regular Blu-ray is pretty good.. No matter how you cut it, it's a 35 year old movie

Old bluray with old HDMI cable probably won't do 4k, but again may not be a huge difference until you start getting a bigger TV

Yeah I've got a 55 inch 4k tv so it might make it look a little better but I'm sure it would look better than the old dvd I have of it. I just wasn't sure if you needed all kinds of bells and whistles to make it actually look like they intend for it to look.

So I think the chart says you need to be under 7' feet to the TV (55") before you notice the difference between 4k vs 1080. Then you have to be able to see in 4k, check your prescription.. Every jump from vhs to DVD to Blu-ray -4kuhd gets smaller and harder to notice. If you don't already own it on Blu-ray, then it's a definite must buy. . but then again they'll probably release another set in a few years with all the lost footage from the Kansas vault
