The Lincoln Center Fountain is located in Lincoln Square in the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York.
The fountain was opened on April 6, 1964. After being closed for renovations in 2009, the fountain was reopened with a completely new design, thus it no longer looks the same as it did for it's appearance in Ghostbusters.
The fountain was featured in the scenes where Peter Venkman came to meet Dana Barrett after her rehearsal. The fountain can be seen in the background during their conversation, and Venkman can be seen spinning by the fountain after they depart. |
