After a countryside bust, the Ghostbusters accidentally get lost and stumble upon a sleeping dragon that was banished by one of Egon's ancestors, Zedekiah Spengler. The dragon reawakens and mistakes Egon for him. After some research, Egon finds out his ancestor was experimenting in musical incantations in an attempt to refill a dried up well but instead summoned the dragon, a spirit attached to the well.
The Ghostbusters try to play musical instruments to play the right sounds but it doesn't work. Egon discovers the sound waves have to be played at the right amplitude and frequency in relation to the size of the dragon is now. The proton packs settings have to be adjusted so they essentially work as tuning forks playing the right sounds!
