Louise, a temp is hired while Janine and Egon go to her family's house for dinner. Slimer accidentally messes with a machine of Egon's that will open a dimensional gate releasing several imps. The guys soon find that shooting the imps with the proton beams only makes them multiply. Peter figures reversing the polarity will give the opposite effect. Egon returns just too late to warn Peter. All the imps combine to form a giant red imp that knocks out the power to the firehouse! The guys track the monster down to find the particle beams have no effect still.
Louise trying to find the lights actually activates the machine again causing three bad ghosts to appear. They soon get ahold of a proton pack and Janine and Louise must fend for themselves! Elsewhere, Egon determines they need more energy to beat the big red monster. Egon tells Peter and Winston to keep the monster busy while he and Ray can work something up. Peter and Winston can't run forever though! |

| Janine's family is seen in this episode. Her parents, a grandmother, and either a brother or brother in law appear, but are unnamed and have no lines. Janine's sister is first mentioned in "Mrs Rogers' Neighborhood" and her name, Doris, is revealed in the Extreme Ghostbusters episode Fallout. Janine's nephew is also seen, and shoots Egon with a squirt gun; his name, Victor, is established in "Victor the Happy Ghost" |
