- This episode was partially inspired by the movie, The Beast From 20, 000 Fathoms.
- As a child, Egon had the largest ant farm in the state of Ohio.
- Peter makes reference to The David Letterman Show.
- Ray telling Peter "there were no Ghostbusters back then" is likely a subtle shot at Filmation's Ghostbusters cartoon and it's live action TV predecessor.
- "Rollerghoster" is also the name of an episode from the cartoon Filmation's Ghostbusters at around the same time.
- There is a sound effect error present which happens in at least a few other episodes where the characters make reference to the telephone ringing before the sound effect happens. |
