[Discuss] [History]Lifegard II PASS Alarm

The LifeGard II is a personal alarm worn on the utility belts of the Ghostbusters during the second movie as well as in the 2009 video game. In reality, the device is used primarily by firefighters and works by emitting a very loud high-pitched sound when the wearer is motionless too long, allowing others to locate a fallen comrade.

The device has its own belt clip but in the video game it sits in a leather holster and features wire modifications though in some video sequences it appears as it did in the movie sans any changes. Unfortunately in neither the movie or the game it is never mentioned or used and has led many to wonder what it actually was. The advent of the internet allowed many to find them on eBay and make it apart of the standard GB II and GB:TVG uniform belt device.

An interesting note; when featured on the cover of the Ghostbusters II Rolling Stone magazine cover, the device is clearly visible on Egon and Peter's belt but is gray rather than yellow.
