Very sorry if this has been discussed before, I looked but couldn't find a topic.

I have the idea that Afterlife will feature scenes from Ghostbusters 1984 that have not been released to the public yet.

I gather this because the trailer scene where Rudd shows the kids scenes from 1984 NYC on the laptop, with Ray and Peter walking towards the camera was not featured in the original GB84 movie. It looks a lot like the scene at 1:19:55s but is shot from further down the street.

Wouldn't that be awesome if there were more unreleased scenes like that? It would really be the perfect GB3.

Again, very sorry if this is old news and has been discussed before. Feel free to delete this thread if that's the case.

Yeah, Jason specifically said they unearthed old dailies that they combed through. He said they found them "in a salt mine in Kansas"? not sure if he was joking or not lol But yeah, there will be never before seen footage in the film! :)

When he said that at Fan Fest, I'd been thinking the material might potentially be manipulated to create flashback sequences, to aid or assist as an alternative/supplement to de-aging effects.

This has been discussed before in the main Afterlife thread.

Pretty cool though about finding and utilizing old footage though.
