Hi there. My knowledge with electronics is minimal. I currently have a very crude set of pack lights connected to an Arduino board, 9V battery and a SPDT power switch attached to the motherboard. Below is my current set up:
What I am hoping to do is to connect my Hasbro Wand to these lights along with speakers and an amp. I am wondering if I am able to use a single power source and without having to turn on the amp independently? I plan to follow the videos how there showing how to connect the wand to your own speaker/lights by soldering a lead to the wand speaker and another to the first toggle on switch on the wand.
To make things easier I'll post a pic of what my proposed set up is to be like. I could be totally off about it so please critique it and make corrections/suggestions if possible. I am willing to swap to a 12V battery as well if needed:
Situation 1: I like the idea of being able to turn on just the pack lights without reaching for my wand if I want to so if possible I would like to leave the power switch on the bottom of my motherboard for that.
Situation 2: this is the complicated part I am hoping to achieve. The first toggle switch on the wand will bridge the connection of the 9V battery in my pack which would allow for power to both my pack lights and the amp simultaneously activating all lights and sounds.
Sorry again if this is all unclear or a mess. I really am new to all this and despite all my research I am quite stuck. I've just been connecting bits and pieces of things I learned here and there.
In terms of things I need to buy there is an electronics store near me here in Vancouver, Canada and I've been looking at this amp and speaker. Would they work well enough to have good crisp sound?
