I'm trying to figure out how to provide a switched light for my trap. Should I use a 12volt dc system? I don't know much about designing circuits but i'm good at soldering. Also any websites that sell or have instructions. I'd also like to have a switched flashing or sequence circuit info for the proton pack type set up. Any help?[/b]

If you are just using an LED, I would soldier a resister on it and use a 9v battery.

What size resistor would i need to get to 9volts? I'm also having a hard time finding a dc switch and LED that looks like the movie version.
Thanks

It depends on what voltage LED you'd be using. If you find that out, then I can tell you... As far as an accurate LED, you probably won't find one. I'm going to put a red cap (I'll either find one or make one) on a clear LED. And as far as an accurate switch, just keep looking, I haven't found one yet either. But if I do, I'll let you know.
