The backing music from that scene wasn't a commercial pop song, but an arrangement by the film's composer, Elmer Bernstein. On the Varese Sarabande release of the film's score, that particular piece is part of the "There Is No Dana Only Zuul/Myth" track:

Actually, I believe the song he was asking about may have been "Judgement Day" also from the score.

Judgement Day is my favorite part of the score, I wish it was a longer track!
