Okay, so I'm getting deja vu from that 4th one. A still showed up on the official Ghostbusters website in 2016.
https://ghostbusters.fandom.com/wiki/Fi ... ge_020.jpg So in the lost footage recording, at the 18:24 mark, they showed a deleted scene of Ray flipping switches on this machine that's a background prop in the actual movie then he takes a drink.
I vaguely remember it was supposed to be the charging station for the Proton Packs. I could be wrong. But I know I saw it before, there was still of this on a trading card? A one of the book adaptations? I think this thing was talked about here on GBFans but for the life of me I can't find the thread.
But looking at the clothing Ray wears in the scene plus some previous stills of Egon, and what he's wearing, working on the trap and thrower seen in I know at least the GB Storybook
https://ghostbusters.fandom.com/wiki/Fi ... 23Trap.jpghttps://ghostbusters.fandom.com/wiki/Fi ... Page32.jpg I think this scene/stills take place in Chapter 10 right before the take out dinner scene and Janine gets the call from the Sedgewick. Ray and Egon looks like they might have even been in the same scene. Like in the 2nd floor lab area where Dana was interviewed, while Egon is hard at work on the equipment like there's nothing wrong, Ray has become a little dispassionate at the lack of calls - and that's implied by the way he's flipping the switches and taking that drink. Then the scene shifted to I guess Peter bringing up the Chinese takeout, Ray informs it represents the last of the petty cash, etc.
EDIT: Devilmanozzy helped and pointed me to appearance of the machine in the Ghostbusters Handbook. (Spook Central has it:
https://www.theraffon.net/~spookcentral ... manual.pdf) and it appeared in the 'interview' scenes near the camera when Dana is interviewed and left of possessed Louis when he smells a pizza slice.
There's also a still of Janine talking to Egon in that same lab area on SC.
