If it follows the design of the RGB trap, then you can unscrew it and give the body a primer coat and then when dry a final coat in your choice of colour. Satin Black for instance. Weathering can then be added.

For the dial and the antenna you could paint them a matching metallic colour or 2 opposing ones.

Once all paint is dry a black and brown wash to dull them down and then silver for highlighting and 'scratches'.
Then a clear coat to seal it all in.

It depends on what you prefer and what colours call out to you. Have fun :-)
