Picture time!

Pulled the jeep out for AJ in the wee morning of our departure.

Endangering Richies pack is somewhat of a specialty for Kris. If the pack had been dropped, I assure you that he would have gone in right after it.

Who's a dirty girl?

Seriously though, I never refer to my cars as girls. I think that referring to a car that is less than 20 years old as a girl is kind of faggy.

Circus Circus, I think.

This is the Ecto's impression of Las Vegas.

Blinky lights, get it? Oh f*** off.

I don't know about you, but seeing holiday stuff like this in a place with palm trees was totally weirding me out.

I really wish Kris had asked if he could take a picture laying on it....

On Saturday we got up and met with Vinny (Kind) and had a blast. First stop was the Biltmore Hotel in LA, also known as the Sedgewick.
Image

Image

We pulled up with the lights a-blinking and parked in a loading zone. Nobody seemed to mind.
Image

The interior is totally the same.
Image

Around the corner there was a McDonalds ad being shot, with a giant driveable restaurant.
Image

Image

After that it was over to Ladder 23, which just so happened to actually be in a de-militarized zone.
Image

The area was very typical for big city, much like what you'd find in Queens or the Bronx. Wouldn't want to be there at night, though.
Image

Then it was off to the Griffith Observatory, famous overlook of Los Angeles. Also known for being in major scenes of Transformers and the Rocketeer.
Image

We managed to get past the parking guards and take pictures in an area where personal vehicles were prohibited. How? We're the f****g Ghostbusters, that's how.

Totally a reference to the H2G2, and also run by Wolfgang Puck. We probably should have eaten here.
Image

After the observatory it was on to Sean's house for the barbeque. We pulled up behind the D and flipping on the lights. Had a good ol' time!
Image

And in the back yard...
Image

Image

Astromech trash can, good lord!
Image

Sean's shop was probably the most fun thing we saw. On his tool rack he had pliers, wrenches, torx bits, and this.
Image

Onward, to the screening!

Awesome shots! And I see in one of them you're posing for one I requested (at the Biltmore)! Not that you wouldn't have done it anyway... :whatever::cool: Thanks for posting all the pics! Still wish I was there for some of this!

Love that '59 Caddy though. Wow it's beautiful!

Sorry I missed you, gents. I had to make a last-minute trip up to San Jose... looks like it was a blast though.

Good thing you didn't stick around the 23's neighborhood too long in the car though... you think you had problems on the last Ecto Across America, wait'll the car is up on cinder blocks and stripped - lightbars and all.

But in all seriousness, was incredibly bummed to have missed meeting you guys and the car (and to have missed the show).

The truckster was actually featured recently in a short "sequel" commercial for a rent a house place during the superbowl.

Maybe someone can embed this? I can never get it to work properly here.

Thanks for that tip! I tried just putting the page link in... I don't think I could locate instructions here for embedding it.
