Our friends over as Hasbro Pulse just sent over this teaser image for an upcoming HasLab project anticipated for release this Halloween! While they can't confirm any details, we're invited to review the image for context clues. What do you think it could be!?

I'm thinking it's a 1:12 '84 Ecto to scale with the Plasma series figures...hopefully tiers will unlock lights and a siren. And in my wildest dreams, a final tier unlocks a Janine figure. Hopefully Hasbro learned from the failure of the Ghostrider car and doesn't wildly overprice it.

If that hint isn't obvious enough. I am just not looking forward to it being $500. If it's under $200 then I will bite. However, if their Cantina playset is any sign of price, then I am out. Hasbro going for that last bit of change in our pockets.

I don’t want a bigger Ecto, I want the current sized Hasbro ones with high quality and metal fittings rather than chunky plastic.

And so sadly, when it comes to choosing between this and the Mondo RGB figures, my money is going to Mondo.

Depending on the price point I may reconsider if Hasbro adds a remote control function to it, a mini drone trap and a mini RTV. The mini versions of the drone and trap don't have to be RC capable, but I don't want to see a bunch of dirt thrown on what is going to be a very expensive toy.

The original Ecto would be nice but I would prefer something to the size of the Lego Ecto and the latest version from Empire. I don't think the Ecto-cycle would be popular enough yet to warrant it's own Has Lab project.

Like Haslabs Ghost project I could really see figures being advertised as unlockable rewards. As for bonus incentives I could see licence plates, and possibly even a set of keys made to look like what Winston would use to start the Ecto with. If we get Ghost figures, i'd imagine the sewer dragon, and Garaka being the top contenders with Slimer and the Pufts as respectable candidates. I can see the Pufts possibly being the same size as the Proton Pack pufts or in scale to whatever this Ecto is going to be.

Not gonna lie. Kind of dissapointed we don't have anything related to Two in the box yet.

What are you talking about? They are showing off a nearly production complete Trap and PKE because people want to see an update. They won't be selling any more of those.

Just thinking out loud here. Does anyone think that Haslab will start off with an Ecto one base you could build off of? You get to choose which Ecto you want to build. Your backing will come with the accessories of your choice but you get the option of another parts package if you purchase more then one vehicle.

They could do something like

parts package b Ghostbusters 2=roof crap with electronic were ready to believe you sign
parts package c Afterlife- dirty parts opposed to clean parts/gunner seat

It's a cool idea but I don't think they've ever done anything like that. It's usually 1 item. Now, I could see them packaging in different roof racks for the 84 Ecto-1, Ecto-1A, and 2024 Ecto-1. Maybe toss in some rust/dirt decals to sorta replicate Afterlife.

That picture implies an Ecto-1A only, which is odd. I'm sure the tiers will include a GB1 roof rack, though.

I could totally get on board with an Ecto 1 A! It just kinda seems like an odd choice for a Haslab, unless its 1:12 scale, in which case, why not do the original Ecto 1... Either way, I'll probably end up getting whatever it is.

I think we all have enough Ecto-1's. Lol. I'd be stoked if it's an Ecto-1-a especially if the lights work like they do in the movie and it isn't just decals. I was just thinking should we get something packaged along with it a giga meter would be kind of nice since they just did the trap and Pke-Meter.. If it's stand alone like the Haslab Rattler I'd be content with action figures scaled to go with the Ecto. Concerning the tier rewards I think I speak for us all if they don't include the hot beverage thermal mug and balloons would be disappointing.

Someone found a placeholder page appeared on Hasbro Pulse's EU site for a "Ghostbusters Haslab Playset" with base version listed for 599 Euros and Deluxe for 799 Euros.

877.46 USD, highest price point. This play set better be hand delivered by Dan Aykroyd himself or blessed by the pope.

Lets hope they are messing with us, although... If this is a self driving Ecto One car similar to the self transforming Optimus Prime not many of us are going to be able jump on this haslab. It will not get funded.

That Optimus runs for a grand I believe.How cool would it be to have a self transforming Ecto-tron much or an Ecto 1 that follows you like a puppy dog? God, that price... In this economy that's like two month's worth of grocereies. If you spend $60, to $70 a week. Holy shnikes!

Those prices HAVE to be place holders. I don't think a HasLab has EVER asked for that much up front. The auto transforming Transformers are luxury commercial items and if you sell your neighbor's kidney, you can get one easily enough.

If it's an Ecto-1, R/C or not, those prices are nuts UNLESS they're going professional R/C style and giving it an engine that requires fuel and even then, those prices are stupid.

Maybe they plan on offering each item individually? Giving you a choice between the fire house, the ecto, roof parts, and action figures. It'll be a backing that will add up but I am looking forward to what this is going to look like. I'm not looking foward to the prices.

$1000 for 1/12 Ecto? I'm guessing deluxe comes with 1A roof rack. With Blitzways new head sculpts, i might have maxed out my Ghostbusters budget.

It could be dead in arrival if they price people out.

The HasLab team has a reddit account and did crowd control. The HasLab is not a playset nor will it be those prices. It was just a test they were doing and it went live by accident.
