actually i just realized that the pictures are kind of misleading. I abandoned the pvc tube and Styrofoam top due weight issues. I actually bought some of that aluminum pipe and then some inflatable balls I got at Dollar Tree. lots of Fiberglass sheets and resin later, walla! as seen as above. I am putting alot of love into this project so its taking me a while. I should be able to move a little quicker now that the tanks are done. hope to update you soon!

I cannot read that line without expecting the next caption to say "And here is the spout"!

Looks good so far, but we need in-progress pics of the revised tank methods if you took any.

ha ha funny guy lol seriously though are the slime hoses suppose to be that long or is it a choice of the person building it?

It was an estimation going off what i saw in GB2. This is still a work in progress, so they may shorten depending how the fit when i actually get the pack on, I cut them long so i wouldnt be short. I can all ways trim off excess!

Ok the tanks and lights for the tanks are mounted and the pack is mostly done, I would have more done if I hadn't broken a resistor and had to wait on installing the lights in the project box, but oh well, Here are some picts. And yes i know realise just how long i made the tubes. There will be some cutting in the near future...lol

Finished, no. Though hopefully done enough to take to the library. I need to find a 20 Ohm resistor to replace the one that broke on the circuit board for the lights, and i havent even started the vest. I am focusing on getting the thrower done enough to show, hopefully the lights i ordered will be in.

Cool. I think the kids would enjoy seeing what you have done so far. It looks great. Even if you're not finished by then, it gives you an opportunity to show them how these props are built.

Due to several requests, I am updating this thread to show what materials i used. Thanks for all the compliments guys. Catch 22 and i put a lot of hard work in this to make it awesome!

The main tank (grey) is made out of a Concrete pillar form. The rounded ends on the big tank are tea kettles that i found at Goodwill.
Image
Image

The side tanks are Aluminium Snap Pipe.
Image

The domes on them are Floral Foam
Image
To cover the tanks i would recommend using fiber glass to cover it. I did a much harder and more expensive way of just using resin. The big ball again is just two half dome floral foam that I glued and resined over,
The pan at the bottom is a pan that i got at a local dollar store, the connectors are pressure washer quick connects.
Image
The thrower is also Aluminium snap pipe, with a piano hinge, the handle is a plumbing on/off valve. The Big black box is part of a plastic tray from a bow hunting broad-head case. The small black box is metal that we shaped to fit. I will have to double check. The handle on the front is made from a piece of aluminium and pvc.
Image
The Cone and the cap for the thrower I had professionally made. The air injector in the tip is an old fire sprinkler end.
Image

Black box on the bottom is a cover off of a really old push lawn mower.

The Hammond boxes and the lights i got off the shop here! and of course there is the alice pack which was an ebay purchase. The vest i made myself out of fabric and a plastic cutting board!

I think that about covers it. If i forgot anything let me know and i will get back to you!
