My day job is as a motion graphic artist and I was inspired by all the amazing “science behind the proton pack” videos on the web and decided to make an abridged and comical version as a fully animated motion graphic explainer video. The idea being it’s from an old VHS with original 1984 marketing materials from a fictional franchise in the Pacific Northwest (where I live). It's by no means loyal to canon or the mechanics of the official props...just a fun animation from a fan.

Video editing thought. Something that always bothered me with the way people use the vhs filter. When you record in 16:9 high resolution I can tell it's not real retro. You need to film in or crop and down scale the video to a 4:3 resolution like 720×480 reduce the video to 30fps then apply the vhs filter. Rant over.
