Jimm's "Sniffer"

These pictures are all from October 2013, but I didn't get around to posting them before. Here is my "Sniffer," or more accurately, my dog Bela in her Ghostbusters uniform.

She's got a light brown vest with child-sized name and logo patches and a green harness. Her collar is black leather with yellow electrical tape (I couldn't resist a little bit of caution striping) and a rubber logo key chain tag. The tag is a little big, and I think I'll eventually replace it with a metal key chain instead.

Now she needs some kind of equipment. I thought about going the cute route and making her a mini proton pack (would look great strapped to her back with that green harness, right?) but I'd like something more realistic (within the Ghostbusters world at least). I was thinking a trap sitting on her back might be the best option. Anybody got other ideas?

Are you sure you're using that thing correctly?

It might just be me, but I don't think that dog is screen accurate...

Well there's something you don't see everyday.

Where do you insert the pump and hose/wand on that thing anyway?

That is too cute. I wonder if I could make a similar outfit for for my rats?

Too freaking cute. I don't think you really need her her to carry any equipment. The concept of a dog as part of the team using their heightened senses when the PKE is acting up, that seems legit to me. That said, I guess a trap would be most logical if you wanted her to carry something.

This is just...too much adorableness! Did you find the vest or make it? If you made it, where did you find such a pattern? So much potential for different ideas...I love it. I think I agree with what a lot of people said and keep it to the vest. It gives it's own effect quite well with just the vest. But now that I think it over, how fun would it be to make something like a colander build that'd intended to be a translater for Bela to best communicate with her human partner on her finds.

Wow, sorry, I completely missed that there was a question in here. I found the vest on Amazon, it's a "Kurgo Stowe Dog Jacket" and looks way different from the product picture.

Oh! Very innovative! Thanks for sharing your resource. I'm going to have to give this a try! Once again, super cute and very creative. :)
