There’s the Men in Black one, but that one’s a board game. Oh who am I kidding? A Volume 4 would be cool. (International was basically V3)
We’re getting the IDW 20/20 in January which is the Sanctum of Slime oneshot. Having a oneshot for each team would be cool too.

Erik is on the record saying he pitched the next story and it has no multiversal/crossover component. It's really up to the powers that be now to approve it or ask for something else.

Wow I can't wait to see how this wraps. Already looking forward to the SOS one shot and am hoping it is another thing to test the waters for some Ghostbusters Spin Off comics. I am also looking forward to some stories with the Core 4 Prime busters and hopefully a nice build up to the next big event what ever that may be.

Hmm, perhaps my Trap-Gate theory wasn't so far off. But seems like they're going to banish pieces of her essence across the multiverse into random dimensions.
So, Jenny sacrificed herself to fully stablize the containment unit (Sayscalled was half right in his theory) and Janine is now part of PCOC.

Interesting developments. And overall great series. Can't wait for the next event when erik and co. are ready; at least after the SOS oneshot. ^_^

WOW. So yeah...
I guess my original prediction was right. The only part I missed was that it was Jenny, and not a ghostly Prime Egon.
Speaking of Prime Egon, that was a nice subtle way to scramble some brain cells.
And Janine's a sharp negotiator. Gonna be fun to see how her role expands.

Crossing Over #8
Story
A 12 page battle. Not bad at all. Tiamat busted out some wicked attacks. So cocky of her to not even bother bringing her Terror Birds. And so many beautiful shots by Dan and Luis - the 3 panel of the ATC, SOS, and EGB on page 1, the EGB's glow on themselves as they fire, Tiamat bring on the lightning, being blasted as she's surrounded, the shockwave that tosses everyone into mid-air, Winston's punch (long time coming!), Tiamat's power being siphoned away by the Trap-Gates, Winston having that moment - for Tiyah - after Tiamat is trapped. Still, makes sense, she draws power from chaos and the Ghostbusters exploring the multiverse trapping the untrappable causes more of it for her to feed on. I did like she acknowledged how blasphemous it was of them to travel between dimensions like gods. Feel like that's the first entity to say that out loud.
There's always cool to see EGB Egon holding the RGB P.K.E. Meter. heh. And Peter charging him over 3 times the MSRP.
Well, since Ray used the orb, he was the one that had to pay the price, cuz magic, but indirectly and the idea of don't fall in love with a Ghostbuster is once again reinforced. Like with Tiyah, the ultimate blow is to the heart. Not a eyeball or a leg or a life. While it wasn't the sledge hammer I wanted, a panel of Ray shooting the teleporter in anger was decent. Touching for Holtzmann to get Ray to key in on the monitor. And a hilarious way to prevent Holtzmann from trying to make another teleporter combined with a great callback. Good thing Egon modified it... and I laughed at the implication Egon has no idea if it causes brain damage. lol.
Compliments aside - the critiques.
- Like with Chi-You, I don't like Winston's emotional response let's just ditch the big bad in the Trap. Surely they could have stored her alone in something more permanent like the mobile ECU they used on the RV in Haunted America. Just leaving it there... what if another mortal traveler or an entity travels to that dimension that fiddles with the Trap? Or one it's other inhabitants? Speaking of, a small part of me was worried about a gotcha ending revealing Idulnas stowed away on one of the Ghostbusters in.
-And well, the sacrifice. Another gut punch to Ray. Yeah, sure Egon, and Peter also got the worst of it among the original crew this series but still rather safe, imo, because it happens to Jenny and we know the RGB develop a few ways to extract a ghost from their ECU like the airlock from Revenge of Murray the Mantis or the Trap sphere from Partners in Slime or the molecular destabilizing suit, etc. - they just haven't gotten there yet in their timeline since they're coming off Proteus.
-And the ending, also safe. Janine gets a new title, more freedom, more tasks, and more money but basically nothing changes physically and she's still going to be right at the front desk of the Firehouse where she wants to be. Rather clever of her though I admit. But seems out of character for Peck to not at least have a back-up choice that won't make so many demands. Yeah, I still preferred Kaia May. So sue me.
And the nitpicks - Surprised there was no tease of The Predators Tiamat mentioned but I suppose too many loose ends to tie up and/or Erik plans on teasing them a bit more in the next arc or annual. Also a bit bummed they didn't have space for a prime Janine meeting Egon 68-E gag.

THIS. Is what I'm truly salty about. And I'm salty about the "price-to-pay" implications of loving a Ghostbuster, cos by that logic, Egon and Janine have a LOT to suppress. And the fact that Egon didn't get proper emotional closure about experiencing death and then coming close to it yet again. Also, if the gris-gris doesn't evolve beyond an unused plot device, I'll scream like the Ghost Librarian.

Wow Jenny is one hell of a Ghostbuster. This is the second time she has sacrificed herself for the greater good. I know that they are taking a break from the interdimensional traveling, but I feel confident that the Primes will keep in touch with the RGBs so they can probably help Jenny get out of the Prime Unit some day. After all the RGBs have offered to help the Prime GBs increase the compacity of the unit to hold entities higher than a class seven. Then there are the predators that have been teased. Creatures that are so ancient that there is no classification for them yet. I knew Tiamat didn't stand a chance against so many Ghostbusters. I am with you Mrmichealt. I really don't think that it was a good idea to just leave entities stranded in the traps. I am still waiting for it to bite them in the ass.
This Post Contains Spoilers
One way or another I think it is safe to say that there is a lot to look forward to.
Side note
I have feeling that Peck may have gone easy on Janine's conditions out of respect for the Loss of Jenny. I feel that maybe since Jenny and Peck were colleagues and they did have some good dialouge together during this event it may have hit him pretty hard as well. We have seen him grow from just some jerky Beaurocrat to a 3 dimensional character. We have seen first hand in the events of international that Peck may be a jerk, but there are people in his life that he cares deeply for.

Some thoughts on the trivia from Crossing Over #8:
**Kylie's "Hold Hand Grenade" is a nod to Robin's infamous lines in the Batman 1966 television series. -Or a reference to the Holy Hand Grenade from Monty Python?
***around the corner are ? -It almost looks like Officer Frump in his dress blues from The Scaring of the Green, even though his regular appearance is in the same panel. -And maybe a Werechicken? It's possibly that, or the Grinch.
Page 13, panel 2: Blue gear on top of the filing cabinets are ? -Looks like a Kenner Proton Pack. Weren't those used by the "Bust tourists" when the 101 expansion to Ghostbusters Inc. was opened?

Good point. Hmm. EDIT: Erik confirmed it's a Monty Python reference. So Tiamat is the Rabbit of Caerbannog. Kylie sure knows her pop culture.

As yes, the very Dr. Ruth-ish host. Good catch, Kingpin! And I think what we thought was a chicken suit around the corner is the guy in the baked turkey outfit Ruth counsels in the episode. https://ghostbusters.fandom.com/wiki/Fi ... ollage.png

IDW celebrates the GB 35th Anniversary with a 4-issue weekly event in April 2019, featuring 4 different #Ghostbusters teams in adventures written and illustrated by 4 different creative teams. https://twitter.com/TomWaltz/status/1073679291152355328
Each issue has 3 covers - a Cover A by the issue's artist, an interconnected Cover RI by Anthony Marques, and an interconnected RE Convention Covers by Dan Schoening. Now colored. (so Wonder Con? And ugh, expect high resale prices) https://twitter.com/TomWaltz/status/1073680143476903936
Erik Burnham shed some light on "June 2019" - he lobbied for something else with Ghostbusters and had to decline writing all four issues of the 35th anniversary mini-series because of the next release scheduled for June 2019. Good Golly! Cutos to them for keeping a secret. A BIG announcement for June? I can't imagine anything bigger than crossing over, but I know they are going to pull the rug out from under me. . I am pretty sure it is something I haven't even thought of. I am glad that four of the Ghostbusters Universes are moving forward post Crossing Over in April. So looking forward to RGB, EGB and ATC moving forward with the knowledge of a much bigger multiverse.
My heart can't stop pounding at the thought of what the big announcement may be.

Yeah, I'm curious if the April issue will the stand alone bust a couple of us have been clamoring for and if this June thing is the same or picking up on the ongoing canon like will these Predators that Tiamat kept mentioning will make a move against the Ghostbusters.
Or will it pick up on open ended plots/gags/things-we-assume-were-taken-care-of-between-issues left by Erik over the years like -The Infestation Zombies in New Jersey -Shelly the Witch from Volume 1 #12 --Who knows how many more ex-boyfriends (or anyone in general) she's hexed, could be a neat story to have them take on a living witch or witches -Hel, Fenrisulfr, Jormungandr from Volume 2 #6 --Got to be a little ticked her Grendel and Draugar were trapped -Chi You --I have a gut feeling his return is being saved for a hypothetical TMNT/GB Vol. 3 -Sandman from Annual 2015 --Definitely a bone to pick for being harmed for the first time and could bring his "children" along per Ernst's myth -Aibell --Definite bone to pick or is she content with never seeing them ever again -Unidentified ATC revenge ghost (or Rowan) from 101 #2 that spoke to the big yellow ghost -Gareth Dibello --Eh, safe to say the 11-W, 68-M, and /or 68-Q could have recaptured him off screen or they did so post-Crossing Over or on the to do list. -Death --The wild card, imo, who can pop up at anytime -Krampus --Cameo in Vol 2 #11 and 12 but Erik had an idea for a story set in Germany -Maybe Rodefhiri escapes his confinement -Or will we ever see FBI Special Agent Holtzmann
Or the pie in the sky kind of stuff -Egon and Janine (I know, I know) -An idea Erik said he had at one time about using a Djinn -An idea Erik had about Ray's spirit guide coming to the GBs for help -An idea Erik had for ghost similar to the Vathek from Extreme Ghostbusters except it was tied to language, though, random sounds instead of writing. -Adaptations of the movies and The Video Game. -Kevin Tanaka getting approved by PCOC to bust (ok, maybe that's just my wish lol)

Man I think you are hitting the nail on the head of how well they have built this world. It really seems like there are many options for them to go. I believe Kevin Tanaka is over due for some field work. Janine is pulling double duty as secretary and liaison and if Ray wants to put more man hours into figuring out a way to get Jenny out of the containment unit, somone will have to help out in the field in his stead. I think if the comic continues to do well I think we will see Kevin done a pack real soon. I also think we might see an inside the containment unit adventure in the Prime universe. I just hope Jenny is not stuck there I have really come to like that character.
I was wondering if they do put out a third TMNT/GB crossover if they deal with Chi Yu's return or if they would fight the Ghost of the Shredder. I would love them to team up to fight the Turtles arch nemesis, but at the same time I can understand why they probably wouldn't want to go that route. For one thing it might feel like a retread of the Darius encounter. It might also take away a lot of weight from the Turtles victory in Shredder's defeat. Who knows. . The main thing I would look forward to is the Ghostbusters going to the Turtles world. I know that idea was being bounced around and the thought just brings a smile to my face.
