Egon's explanation about why the ECU went boom. But more thoughts on Wednesday from me.

Like last issue, appreciated how Erik figured out a way to get Winston into the issue since the flashback was before his hire. I loved that he quickly warned Rebecca about Peter's prank.

Makes sense Egon agreed to the book deal to fund repairs to the Firehouse and Containment Unit. But I wonder for this canon, how far they got or didn't once they got hit with the lawsuit and subpoena.

Egon's answer about why he got interested in ghosts and parapsychology was interesting enough. I guess the world is pretty damn lucky he didn't get interested in something else like aliens or Bigfoot. lol.

I dug how they addressed the conditions for the Containment Unit blowing up. It wasn't just the shut down but it was the influence of the Shandor Building's roof pulling the near capacity amount of ghosts out at once that made the big explosion. Basically once the unit was shutdown, the safeguards were dropped so the pull of the Shandor Building was so strong it forcibly yanked all those ghosts at once with explosvie results.

Egon's glare and "thanks for bringing that up, Winston" was hilarious.

Takes place between the end of the Sedgewick bust and the montage. Check.

I love how Slimer continues to be the ghost that escapes containment the most in the IDW comics. lol. Janine's reaction to the $5000 bill was priceless. Gotta love when there's banter between Peter and Janine.

I also chuckled at Egon saying "I'm too excited to eat." It totally reminded me of when Egon's monotone delivery when he told Winston he was enjoying himself at the birthday party in "Slimer, Come Home". And I think we all knew Egon officially jinxed it when he said they were on the verge of a clean sweep of functional equipment.

It was pretty neat the recapture wasn't in the Firehouse and instead, we got to see a little of Tribeca. Ray, offscreen, ran off to the Square Diner at Varick and Leonard while Egon followed Slimer to the Tribeca Park on Beach Street. And as Egon admits, it was dumb luck there was a guy with pizza in the park to distract Slimer's focus. But I guess it was dumb luck, too, in the montage when Ray walked up back to street level from 16 East 63rd Street with a smoking trap or when Egon came out of 122 Mulberry Street alone with a smoking Trap (the 2nd Joe Medjuck cameo).

Wow, that was a little cruel. After that long wait, we get a mystery for an ending, lmao. So was this entity a new character or someone we already met. Was it alluding to events that happened in the comics like his death in GBI or being targeted by Death in Crossing Over or setting up the next mini-series? Egon in peril again, oh man. Tbh, I was thinking the last pages were going to reveal Slimer was hiding in the Firehouse and Egon tries to catch him alone then he escapes and slimes Peter on the way out.

I chuckled to see Erik got in that bit with Peter quipping about how nasty Times Square was in the 70s and 80s before urban renewal.
