While we wait for the movie I've reread my favorite IDW Ghostbusters story lines. There is one minor thought I had about Ghostbusters International; how did animated Egon travel internationally in the "prime" universe? Did he grab his passport before he left? If so wouldn't it be "expired" due to the time difference between the Universes? He could not use his counterpart's because they look too different. Perhaps the guys or there allies approached the state department and got temporary passport for him. I can imagine a frustrated Jenny Moran, Janine or Walter Peck having to call them and explain the situation.

1980s/1990s airport security was NOT what it is today... so assuming RGB Egon brought along his passport, even if it looked a tad different, it'd probably still get a pass... worst case scenario? They got him a counterfeit.

I suppose PCOC very likely pulled some strings to allow RGB Egon to Travel. PCOC had been aware of other dimensional vistors at this point.
