Shouldn't we add a section to the page discussing the Sage M50W that goes on the GB1 ion arm? And maybe rename the page Sage Resistors (like the Dale Resistors page)

So the short type Dale resistors were never used on the packs for either movies...?
Hmm, gotta stop by Skycraft tomorrow and get me a short M25W then. :3

That's my understanding, at least. ;)

Hey, Maybe I missed the thread that showed it. But I thought we found out that the Sage 50w wasn't used on GB1 packs?

I seem to recall the only sighting of what might have been the 50w being from the blurry Omni cover? Even the remastered version it's too blurred to tell...

I could be wrong though. Just trying to give accurate info :)

Well damn. I updated the page because I was sure that the m50w was the norm on GB1 packs. First time I hear otherwise... That screen cap sure doesn't lie. It is the only source that we have for this?

I stepped through GB1 in HD last night, all of the large resisters were the same Dale as the one above or indistinct.

The OMNI pack does have a Sage though and Venkman wears that pack for at least some of the Sedgwick scenes so it's accurate to GB1

Do we have proof of this too? The highest res OMNI pic I've seen looks like it could be a Sage, but doesn't provide definitive proof like a HD screengrab. I think its still too blurry to make the assumption? But maybe there is a higher res one than what I have seen.

*Off Topic*

Thanks for the GB1 grab by the way, what program do you use to screenshot?

The entire side of the resistor is flat, this is only a feature on the Sage. You'd also see the ridges in silhouette along the edge if it was a Dale.

Media Player Classic and occaionally VLC. They're both finiky but if one isn't giving it to me the other usually will.

Wait, which one are we talking about?
The GB grab show the inside (long) resistor, I thought we were discussing the short one on the outside..
In the OMNI cover it shows a DALE resistor (long) like in the GB grab. The outside one does look like a SAGE.

We are discussing the inside resistor, as somebody updated the Sage GBFans page saying that it was used on the "Ion Arm of the GB1 Proton Packs" but it was actually only used on the Omni pack and the regular dale was used on the GB1 Hero packs (from what I've seen anyway)

I updated the page, because the Sage 50 wasn't mentioned anywhere. If you think that my modification isn't accurate, you can modify it.

there are only a handful of clear shots available in GB1, but they all point to the conclusion that only the dale RH-50 resistor was used on-screen.

there is no evidence that the vertically-finned resistor seen only on the OMNI and Life Magazine shots, was ever used on-screen. the resistor has never been properly identified and the only match that has been found is the Sage M50W.

Just figured I'd post the picture here of the Life Magazine pack. Even though this should be a different discussion, I don't think this pack was actually screen used. It has very distinct features that are never seen on any of the on screen packs. But it does seem to also have a Sage M50W on it.
