I recently got some figures on eBay that were a little on the dirty side. I've cleaned them with soap and water but they still feel a little sticky, especially the mini monsters that came with the original line. I don't want to experiment with chemicals yet as I want to maintain their paint. Does anybody have any advice on how to de-sticky them?

The stickiness is the plastic breaking down, you'll probably see some dark spots as well.

There's nothing you can do to reverse it, but using a vinyl/rubber/plastic protectant they make for car interiors will help it from deteriorating. There are a hundred of them out there and I don't have one to recommend, but Armor-all is cheap and shitty.
