This is the side view control drawing for the Kenner Ecto-1. I've done my best to create a cleaned up, high resolution version of the available image. This didn't match the final product, and includes some unused ideas.

You can see how closely this control drawing matches the hard copy of the prototype Ecto-1. This is the only picture I've ever seen of it. I flipped it horizontally to match the control drawing (and flipped the logo so it would be right from this view) for comparison. (The gunner seat is incorrect due to the horizontal flip, the guns would switch positions)

And finally, here is what it looks like with color. I used The Real Ghostbusters Ecto-1 color sheet as well as some of the Kenner Ecto-1 concept art to make a best guess at the roof rack color.

Redid this using vector paths in Photoshop, evened out lines, made the roof rack symmetrical, and set this up so it could be used as a reference for a 3D model eventually. I left the roof rack white for this because that's how the prototype and final Kenner Ecto-1 was colored. Added the official Ghostbusters door logo. The blue emergency lights aren't identical, I would've had to make too many changes to make it work, so I left those as is.

I can't say with certainty, but the image TTeacher cleaned up might've been one of the posts on theartofrgb on Instagram.

I did get the original images from The Art of RGB. There were some closeups he shared with the Ghostbuster News website, a lower res one on his site, and he also has an incredible Instagram. He has the best collection of Real Ghostbusters concept art. I tried to reach out to him directly, but I didn't hear back. I'd love to get a chance to talk to him. I'd like to eventually recreate some of these lost concepts in 3D.
