No, not yet. But with SDCC around the corner, they might make a social media post or video with the details before the convention starts next week. I noticed Mezco, Mondo, and probably other toy companies have started doing so with their convention exclusives today.

One person said 90, another said 100. It was either facebook or twitter but I don't have the links right now.

The Ecto Glow Ecto-1 went up for pre-order but it's locked for premium members only. I am so sick of this franchise nickel and diming us to death. Let me just order your stupid toy without all the lame hoops. I'm sick of this nonsense. What's the point in premium membership when all I buy on there are Ghostbusters? I don't want anything else from Hasbro. Oh, but shipping is free! So, I gotta spend $50 to buy a toy at $50 and that $50 is so I can save $10? They are clearly catering to the resellers with these. Absolutely dumb.

I sent Hasbro a message earlier about the Premium lockout and I got back sort of a general response. However, in the message they sent me, they state that all of the convention exclusives that don't sell out during SDCC will go on Pulse starting on August 1st. Fingers crossed that the 4 pack of Ecto-Glow figures won't sell out during the show and they'll be available for purchase online. Keep your eyes peeled on August 1st.

Since the Ecto Glows are all looking to be convention exclusives, minus the Ecto 1, what guesses do you think they will be released at? I'm guessing the Slimer/Stay Puft will be NYCC, but the Louis/copter could be any as there are a number of bigger cons in the springtime from Emerald City to C2E2. Does Hasbro ever come to any of those?

Real talk - happy for those who like and want to collect Ecto Glows and any new collectibles and RGB/GB merchandise is good for the franchise.

We've skipped some other waves I would've been more into like Super Fright Features, Power Pack Heroes, or the alt paint job Fright Features and feel like the current Ecto Glow notoriety is definitely geared more towards toy collector's than the average GB fan. Pat at Hasbro has done a phenomenal job on the artwork and design of the new toys. If it were 1991 - as a kid I'd definitely want that Ecto-1. But realistically how many fans will display multiple variants of the Kenner Ecto?

Following all the community channels, Ecto Glow has been hyped by people who clearly care about the toys and want the franchise to be profitable. So maybe keeping them exclusive and a prestige product is for the best. If they release as a standard line I might pick up an Egon but personally I cannot justify dropping £150-200 obtaining the Ecto Glow set and Ecto-1 edition when it's roughly the same price as a Mondo set. Hasbro get a cut of those too so hopefully the IP is still profitable for them, but I could see Ecto Glow being the end of the Kenner reissue series if they're expecting big sales.

Am I way off? What is the consensus with Ecto Glow here?

I agree Slimer and Stay Puft for NYCC in October seems likely unless Hasbro is having a Pulse Con event in September.

For Louis and the Glow Copter, maybe Toy Fair in February or Wonder Con.

I think Ecto-Glow is good for Hasbro and fans. I'm happy that Hasbro is extending their Kenner Classics line to include new variant items (Ecto-Glow Slimer, Stay Puft, Ecto-1) and never-made items (Glow Copter) from the original Kenner line. We've been chirping about that for what feels like forever for them to move past re-issues. For a bit it seemed like Hasbro's Kenner Classics was dead in the water or put into cryogenic hibernation but Ecto-Glow is showing some new life. But on the flip side, the timing of them getting things going for Kenner Classics again right when Mondo is also putting out their RGB line makes me ultra-conservative about what I choose to get from Hasbro. Do I need glowing variants for figures and car I already have in standard? - is the question each person has to grapple with. For me, I'm not so beholden to the Kenner line so I can easily pass on them. But when it's a brand new item like the Glow Copter - that's when I start pondering. So I think on-hand, for collectors it's good because they're taking Kenner Classics into well collector territory but for non-collectors who pick-n-choose, it could be off putting and when it's something they want they have to compete online with collectors and scalpers to get it. So far, Glow Ecto doesn't seem super limited stock so it's pretty available. The figures, we'll see.

I ordered the Ecto because I thought the glow-in-the-dark feature was fun and different enough from the original release to make it stand out. As for the convention exclusives, I don’t remember being aware of the originals, and these being made available is nice. I will pick them up if I can get them for retail. I am not interested in paying scalper prices for these. I think they are cool and I’d like to have them, but not that much.

As for the classics line as a whole, I’m very happy it’s continuing, and I’d like to see it continue. That being said, I would really like to see more of the ghosts re-released or take it further and put out some RGB ghosts that never were made. The Ghostbusters need some ghosts to catch!!! Wishful thinking, I’m sure.

ok, so to summarize based on the Hasbro booth display and breakfast press event:
-Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 as we know was on the Pulse site starting July 24 and it will ship some time in 2026
-Ecto-Glow Slimer and Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is a 2 pack and orders will be on the Pulse site during a fall convention then shipped in spring 2026.

im actually going to skip out on the Ecto glow figures cause with my luck their is no way i'll ever get a single set, let alone 2 (one to keep carded/boxed one to have on the shelf) plus...I never liked the idea of the Ghostbusters themselves glowing. The ghost make perfect sense to me, but the ghostbusters themselves...i think even as a kid i would have passed on the set. They just look weird to me.

But i did pre order the Glowing ECTO-1 and hope to get glowing Slimer and Stay Puff....thats what in october? Im down for them. Plus, this isnt a complete recreation no? dont the original's come with masks but these new ones dont?

They come with the masks and their ghosts. My biggest gripe is that premium users get a full hour to scalp the crap out of these before cheap dorks like myself, not wanting to cough up an extra $50, might miss out.

I also didn't think of the tariff crap. They're $79.99 and we'll probably get slapped with a $30 fee or something (I haven't been following the percentage lately) before shipping.

Actually, let me take that back. I am looking at the Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 pre-order and there was nothing about a tariff fee ($49.99 + $6.99 s/h + $4.37 tax = $61.35).

Finally found the thread where you guys are talking about these... doesn't it deserve its own thread???

I will be spending the next 4 hours debating with myself over whether I need to buy premium or not. It will maybe probably come in handy on the rest of this line over the next year, no? And it gives you free shipping so it's effectively slightly less than $50...would be even better if that could retroactively apply to preorders since I already ordered the Ecto-1 (and the new pack)...and if I get 2 of these sets (...I don't see anything about a limit anywhere, one would hope there's a limit of 2...) that helps with the math...

But, would I hate myself for playing their games? :sigh:

Man i wish i could have afforded them at the time […]
