Spengler wand barrel sticking

I just got my Spengler wand for my pack (orange tip) and the barrel sticks. I heard this was an issue with this model but I can't find any solutions. If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

I returned it and got a new one (still orange tip) and it worked fine for a day. After light use, it began sticking too. I think it's an issue with the circular piece the lever is attached to because it seems to slide out of place after use.
