I made the slime
For Firehouse. In the YHS video you can see me wearing a punisher T shirt . It does show two of the colours I had to make for filming. It’s all I can say u til any more is released publicly though

groschopf wrote: December 12th, 2023, 7:08 pm Interesting... from the looks of it, the YHS crew was in the warehouse at night (as indicated by the bright overhead white light and lack of lit skylights). The Ecto-1 might have been out on set (unless it's hidden behind that temporary wooden wall adjacent to the roll-up door*).

Image

Side note—in comparing the YHS teaser footage with that of the influencers, I noticed something that might have gone missed. Maybe it's the buck for molding the exterior firehouse logo sign?

Image

Image

*not sure why the roll-up door appears white in the influencers' video but blue in YHS... semi-transparent and changes with low lighting conditions outside? Something blue in the bay casting light? Replaced the doors after a mishap?... maybe Ecto-1 was close to the door, and a light shining through the lightbar is casting that blue hue?
Yes was day time, this was the SFX workshop . Ecto 1 was in there some of the time
As was worked on by our SFX workshop crew . Wooden wall was to seperate areas of our SFX workshop
Hope that helps

Unless you mean what point in Afterlife does he say that, then no, that was not in the movie. It was a cut line. In the October 7, 2021 B-Roll, at the 7:30 mark, there is a shot of Gary Grooberson talking to Podcast and Phoebe in the classroom (chapter 6 on the Blu-rays). He mentioned there was a movie about the Ghostbusters that was made in the 1990s.

I would speculate a movie was made about them coming off the highs of the Vigo incident then came the decline Ray talked about.

Says so much. We can see right away that Venkman's character has evolved so much from 1984 AND that Murray is putting his heart into it. I hope it's truly a rewarding role for him this go around. Dude was always capable of more than just brilliant improv.
Watch, after all this speculation, that dramatic pic is actually a shot of him delivering some deadpan snarky line to Grooberson (could work either way, I suppose). Grooberson looks fearful here, but also a bit pathetic, like everything exploded and he just quietly broke a piece of icicle out of the hole in the wall.

Sorry, misunderstood. The footage is hard to find right now, but there's an article about it here.

...kind of you surprised you lot aren't making more Oscar comments or "Venkmen" jokes.

The existence of a in-universe GB movie makes me think that would have helped them stay in business. At least they would have gotten royalties. Depending on when they went out of business I guess but still the 90s was not that far from the events of GB2.

I’m glad it was cut. Like the article says it just raises more questions.

So anyone else notice the gaping hole in the wall on the right of the photo?
Something got out...or in.
Appears to be icicles around it that match the one in Groobersons hand.

Likely the aftermath of the brief scene from the teaser trailer at around the 1:26 mark where it looked like the big bad's freezing reached the basement and rocked the wall the Containment Unit is affixed to. It seems they succeed in repelling the entity and are trying to clean up and thaw out the Firehouse. I'm guessing those are heat lamps left of Bill/Peter.

I count 8 Busters in the poster, out of a possible 9, unless someone's inside the Ectomobile in the scene depicted--who do we think isn't suiting up?

We've seen Lucky with a pack on already. The only people we haven't seen with either gear or uniform by now are Podcast and Ray.

Edit: James Acaster is a Buster too? Alright, who's sitting out the action? I hate to think Ray wouldn't be involved, but I think the signs are pointing to him.

After seeing the new posters that have come out I came to the theory that our Big Bad may be the goddess Hel of Niflheim, and her motivation behind her summoning by the "ancient artifact" is the Golden Orb mentioned in the Funko Ray listing: a golden apple of Idun. Golden apples of Idun were what kept the Norse gods immortal, and this may be the last apple that exists, and Hel the last god of the Norse still alive.

Getting a bit of an EGB vibe with the shapes of the wraiths resembling Akira's "kids."

Looks like Venkman on the far right in the poster since his flightsuit is untucked from the boots. Moving right to left, it's Callie... then I'm not sure who's between her and Ecto-1s passenger side. Going to the driver's side door and moving left appears to be Phoebe, Lucky,, likely Grooberson at the rear of the car... and anyone's guess to the left of that.

In at least one of the Afterlife posters, the OGBs were represented more as silhouettes. If that visual language is applied here (and it very much looks that way since they're echoing the composition of the Ecto-1 on Summerville's Main Street poster), it wouldn't be much of a stretch to say that's Winston and Ray on the left.

Pure speculation at this point, but it feels like it could be (from left to right) Ray, Winston, Gary, Lucky, Phoebe, Trevor, Callie, and Peter?

I guess Oscar might be driving the car 😉

Not exactly a fan of this visual style but since they're teaser posters they work. Random thoughts about the OGB involvement:

- this feels more and more like the gb3 we all craved or the live action version of the Back in the Saddle episode from EGB
- I spy what seems the OGB silhouettes, like in the Afterlife poster BUT with a significant difference. In the Afterlife one they were in a corner almost as a representation of a legendary past; now they're part of the ensemble. Maybe a sign that this time they're more involved?

I like that its a winter spin on the other “ecto bumper on the street” poster from Afterlife.

However, yeah..i share some of your sentiment.

I do miss the “character posing in front of logo” style like GB2 and the road poster of GB1

Yeah, that's fair... seeing everyone from the back just reminds me of all of the Ghostbusters products that are made to skirt likeness rights but not showing the faces of the OGs.

Bizarre how its be likeness rights issue, They agreed to be in the movie, that release contract should include promotional material and merch.

I think its just an artistic choice to try and be mysterious.

I think it's likely to be more of a marketing choice as these are teaser posters.

As far as the poster themselves, it's great to see the continuity in the poster design for Afterlife, as it mirrors a similar theme but in a new setting. However, I think that AI played a significant role in the initial stages of this poster, with a graphic designer bringing the final touches. I don't think they're of a great standard if I'm brutally honest.

Given that we're just three months away from the release, I'm expecting that we'll soon see more traditional posters featuring the actors and actresses. With a star-studded cast including Paul Rudd, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Finn Wolfhard, and Kumail Nanjiani, it's a bold move from Sony not to leverage their presence to capture the audience's attention earlier.

Three months from release and we've had one teaser trailer, and teaser posters. Expect a very intense marketing campaign from here on in.
