Hi all,

Got the lights for the power cell and cyclotron working using the Spiritminimal.ino. Thank you CountDeMonet for this.

BUT Powering it on, just isn't the same, without the power up and power off sound. Is there a thread on how to add on the power on and off sounds to the spirit script? Thanks

Basically, you would want to add a switch for the power on/off, then use a sound board with a speaker amp that can be controlled programmatically from the arduino. You would want to use part of the circuit in this diagram.



of course there are many other options for sound boards and speaker amps that can be chosen but the process would be pretty similar

Pick the power on switch.

you'll want to look at all of the code that has STARTUP_SWITCH referenced and do the same thing with the minimal code. Then copy over the playAudio function and the sound board setup code. Put the sounds on the board that you want, and then call the play function to play it

playAudio(startupTrack, playing);

It would be a good intermediate programming task with arduino

Thank you for this. It sounds like a lot of reading and looking through code. I hope I have enough time before Halloween to get this added. I'm also looking at your PKE post...man I need to quit my day job to get his all done. Trying to get 4 packs done at once for the big day! Still have such a long way to go. Stilll need covers on the back, ribbon tape, gun mounts, more cables, list goes on and one. Thanks a million! I'll try and keep you posted.
