It has to happen.
Did they give any update on the release window for Too Hot To Handle?
There's still stuff to shoot - things they'd thought of since the original idea of making a documentary on the two films (which is why Harold and Ivan interviews exist, ready to go in). Estimate was about 1.5-2 years, which would take you up to the 40th anniversary of Ghostbusters (plus possibly Afterlife 2 or whatever it'll be called) which would be a useful time for such a thing to come out. That was just my suggestion to them though - they offered the 18-24 month estimate which takes you to late 2023/early 2024.

Interesting. Wonder the new ideas are. Probably some cast and crew they missed out on in their previous trips to the USA.

Sounds about right. And they could show another preview at the Ghostbusters Day event(s).

Any movement on this?

I’m looking forward more to this documentary than the next legit Ghostbusters movie.

It would be awesome if Sony did a 40th anniversary set and included these two documentaries as a bonus feature. Universal did that with a Jaws documentary.

Also. Does anyone know why CUTT is no longer available on ITunes? Here in Canada anyways you can’t get access to CUTT movie.

Nope. They're presumably deep into post after their return to the States to do a few more interviews. Hopefully in a year's time, it start to be released on various platforms like they did with CUTT. If Derek Osborn sees this, maybe he can weigh in with how far along they are.

The iTunes Canada one is a head scracther. Notice any other movies or TV shows? I've heard this happen to music, too.

mrmichaelt wrote: October 6th, 2023, 1:40 am Asked Claire Bueno and they were unaware of it not being on iTunes Canada so hopefully they can square things and get it back on. And confirmed they are deep in post for Too Hot Too Handle.

Awesome. Thanks.

Yeah it’s weird about not being on iTunes Canada. I know it was because that’s how I first saw it. But now it’s completely gone.

I'm not really privy to any release plans, but the post-production is really coming along well! The edit is 98% done, we're mostly working on juicy archival stuff at the moment.:love::love:

Chicken, He Clucked wrote: June 8th, 2024, 1:18 pm I dunno, the Visual History is already exhaustive and if they’re mostly transcribing the documentary won’t it mostly be repeated material albeit with some extra bits… I’ll await fan impressions.

Can’t wait for THTH though.
If the new material is all the stuff they had to leave on the cutting room floor, this book is that way they said they would look for to get it out someday in past interviews and I'm all for it. Yes, ideally, an extended edition Blu-ray with everything would be cool but a book with it all transcribed is just as awesome to me.

Hard disagree there. While GB The Visual History is a great book and had a lot of new gems, it's far from exhaustive. There's just so much stuff generated by a massive production like GB. Photos, art, stories, nuggets of madness and genius. GB employed a LOT of people behind the scenes and most of those people have a cool story to share. GB BTS has been covered to death, but there's still more to learn and new stuff to see.

Getting the Cleanin' doc down to 2 hours was a pretty tough task. A lot of cool stuff was left behind, so I'm really excited to see what Claire has done here!

At 8:40 to 11:00, Too Hot To Handle comes up. Anthony says it's 'coming to an end' - 'days away' - 'very close to finishing off' and confirms the plan is to premiere it like they did with Cleaning Up The Town.

And around 13:00, the CUTT book comes out 'this month' on their site and he thinks usual sites like Amazon.

I haven't read the book, but I've seen all of the interviews. There's a lot of meat here! Ivan's original pitch, Harold's memories of Martha's Vineyard, the last shot at BOSS... new stories and details on the entire production. The number 1 Christmas boutique gift item of 2024!

So just waiting on Amazon...
Am I blind or is there no digital ebook option? In 2024? I could be blind but I just don’t see it.

Far be it from me to tell someone how to do things but generally speaking the idea is for the most amount of people possible to be able to purchase your product. Right? Or maybe that changed? After all you still can’t buy Extreme Ghostbusters on digital.

If anyone finds an ebook version I’d appreciate a link. Print is suppose to be dead!
