So back a deluxe version, take the Louis Tully figure out, and sell off the set without the pieces you want. You'll at least break even if not make money on the deal.

This is actually not a bad idea. And if I like the car in person I can just sell off the non-Tully figures.

Its moving well enough. The added free Tully regardless of it not making that early bird date does go to show that the plasma series which is the 6 inch Hasbro's go to thing lately just didn't move. GB fans generally like props not so much figures. I love this idea and even if decals can only be switched a few times ETSY will have better versions I'm sure soon enough. Fans are doing the best work. Retroblasting rings true here. I still don't want the car but the 4 gb's yes.

Today seems to be the slowest it's moved. Doubt there will be a 3 digit movement. It's possible some people even backed out. I wonder if there are people that didn't realize Tully was locked in no matter when it funds and canceled their order.

I do wonder if there are unannounced tiers or if they really did an all or nothing approach. I don't really know what else they could realistically add as a tier, since it already has so many figures. Maybe additional decal sheets or little Santa hats?

Fitting with the theme i'd love to see some GbII patches, and a physical version of the thermal beverage and balloons. Yeah, i'm going to keep asking for the mug until they give to us. Lol. Even the rattler had other incentives other then the three figures they offered.

timeware wrote: November 3rd, 2024, 7:21 pm That's nice and all, but you know what I really want them to add. Lol. Melnitz in uniform would be awesome though.
That, too. Since the 4 GB figures were from GB2, I was thinking of GB2 era Janine. Santa hats would be cool. Giga meter would be cool. Scoleri Brothers. Vigo. Dana and Oscar. Janosz.

That’s what I’m wondering. If this is in fact a what you see is what you get HasLab, is this the first HasLab they’ve done without stretch goals? I only started paying attention to the HasLabs when the pack came out. Every one I’ve seen since has had stretch goals.

Toy Anxiety's stream with Emily and Pat.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_8c2ZfQAh8

-the light sequences we've seen aren't final, what you've seen in early prototype made to get to launch, it is being refined over the next year, Pat reads all the comments online and in constant contact with Ectotech.
-Pat shows the sample of the Two in the Box! box
-Base will be in standard pretty retail box, Deluxe will have an additional brown box inside. Basically like the Cantina HasLab.
-Figures won't be in full packaging. Tissue wrapped and packed safely.
-Ectomobile will release Q4 2025. In one year.
-Emily can't comment on the future of Ghostbusters figures, Hasbro policy. Pat notes if this funds, that's only good news and nothing is cancelled with good news.
-Pat shows the O-ring packaging, talks about deciding the 1/18 '84 Ecto-1 needs figures so the O-rings were born.
-Emily comments on experimenting with Marvel Sentinel's premium preorder
-Ectomobile presentation PDFs (befores and afters of research), interior of Ecto, figures seated, sculpts of balloons, engine block research, dashboard research, sculpt inputs (ref photos of actors)
-1 yr of work to show during campaign, then after it funds, then regular toy development (a fully cycle), prototyping, packaging. After a campaign closing to ship, usually 14 months . They see final models usually 4-6 months before shipping.
-Two in the Box, just hit sample warehouses. Waiting for 22,000 to show up in Chino warehouse before they ship out to backers. Imminent.
-Emily calls Two in the Box! the most complicated project. Calls Ectombile crazy complicated.
-Janine figure? Emily-Like we said earlier, you never know what the future may hold, stay tuned.
-Slime Blower HasLab Emily-No. We tossed it out, crazy expensive, crazy heavy.
-1a LED boards. Pat-as soon as they saw the prototype-top of list to fix and make right+accurate.
-From a scale, the Plasma series are a little smaller than 6 inch like Black Series. But the beefy G.I. Joe figures may not fit in the Ectomobile for example
-figures won't have pinless joints.
-USB-C port is under the back bumper
-license plates are decal, amber light on Ecto-1a can be swapped out-it's pressure fitted, front/back roof lightbars will be corrected for 1a
-radio and glove box won't be functional
-count on hidden sounds like the Two in the Box! trap or the Spengler pack
-no slime or batteries so there's no bad surprises in the sets i.e. leaks.

Yeah, the final weeks should see a surge from fence sitters, FOMO, online retailers, and scalpers hoarding up extra units. I think it's gonna limp into 12K just in time. It's going to be pins and needles until the end date, imo.

I'd be of the fence sitter mindset, this haslab product really hasn't set the world alight, mostly because there have been a load of ecto's over the years. Mulling it over...

I'm just not impressed with the 1-a LED sign being cards opposed to a pixel art frame. It's my biggest nitpick. I'm leaning more towards the mondo figures instead of the haslab. The lack of tier rewards is the main reason why I'll be the last minute type of buyer again. I hesitated on the Spengler pack but jumped on Two in the box. If the deluxe offered two base cars, being a hundred dollars less I'd be all over this.

Totally understandable and I'm there, too.

On one hand:
-I'm bootstrapping right now.
--I'm pinching for the Mondo Egon-Boogieman next year
-The price.
-I have the original Kenner Ecto-1, the rerelease Kenner Ecto-1, both Hasbro Afterlife Ecto-1 releases, Afterlife Ecto-tron.
-I have to figure out where to put it, but I'll have a year to OR longer if I keep it in the box in a closet.
-I would want to put it in a display case because my house is a dust black hole but for one of that size it will cost three figures probably.

On the other hand
-I've always wanted an Ecto-1a.
-The chances are slim we'll see an offering like this again.
-I'm not getting the Blitzway any time soon.
-This is just the prototype we've seen, the final version will look amazing no doubt.

I’m a massive fan and bought multiples of all the props, but for some reason I didn’t back the Ecto. I don’t know, I have no place to put a 2 foot car. Well maybe I do but more importantly, for me the 1:1 realistic prop stuff is what I love to display.

I personally have zero interest in the Blitzway stuff because they're in a scale I don't collect and wouldn't go with anything else I own. Also, saying there's loads of Ectos, again, none in a 1:12 or 6 inch scale. I'm primarily a figure collector before anything else and there's always been a significant lack of vehicles and playsets made for 1:12 scale because the cost is too high and very little people would buy them to make up for it (which is why they're almost always made to order).

Well, if this doesn't get funded I would like to think that Haslab won't pull a matty and blame the fans. I'd like to see them offer this again, but with incentives and a lower price to move it across the finish line. I still think this will get funded but if it doesn't they know there's demand for this.
