Yeah we’re definitely getting an 11.5” line at some point. Bank on it.

Kingpin wrote: It was broadcast here, but oddly after CITV had shown several of the Dave Coulier episodes from season 3 and 4. We definitely got to see it after they'd broadcast The Boogieman is Back...
I believe Lost and Foundry was another episode that was broadcast in the UK after we'd had Standing Room Only and The Brooklyn Triangle... Towards the end of the show being broadcast over here.
I appreciate this knowledge so much, thanks dude. I sort of checked out when the Dave Coulier era started. Are you going in for the full set on these?

Kingpin wrote: February 12th, 2025, 6:08 pm Interesting that they opted to include Louie the Gangster being trapped, rather than Boogieman.
Correct me if I am wrong (it has been a while since I have watched the two Boogieman episodes), but wasn't one of the problems they had with The Boogieman is that they couldn't trap him because he wasn't actually a ghost? I mean, that would make sense why they didn't make the trap capturing him (and also since the Louie/gangster ghost was trapped at the beginning of the episode). I should probably re-watch those episodes.

Well, it's T-minus 1 hour until the pre-order drops. The pictures on the Mondo Blog look amazing, so I am excited to have the second release in the box, ready to go...

My wallet won't thank me, but yes. :)

You're correct, Boogieman was originally sealed away in his pocket dimension by Egon's Ghost Bomb, in The Boogieman is Back Egon managed to invent a deus ex machina atomic destabiliser to change Boogieman from being a physical entity into a trappable ghost.

It is.

Edit:

The Pre-order is live! :)

It worked out £105 for Egon, or £185 for Egon + Boogie. Went with the latter.

So...

When do we think they'll reveal Ray and Winston? Will it be every 4 months, so do we think Ray and Ghash will be June/July?
Or is it likely they pause now and the next figures will be revealed in July for October release.
I don't know how toy cycles work, generally.

Frankly, I could use 6 months or so before the next set because financially this is ruinous.

Edit: The thought of them pumping out variants and the line continuing for years eg. Baseball Winston and Umpire is beginning to strike fear... at some point I'd have to check out.

Mondo's stated intent was that the pre-orders would go live up on a quarterly basis, so May for the third figure, and August for the fourth figure, and if the line does well enough to let them make Janine, November for the fifth figure in the series.

Guess that means we might get a reveal of their prototypes soon. Another £200 by May, yikes... Ghash has potential to be a great figure too.

Peter, Alex, and Hector from Mondo were guests on Geek. Dad. Life.
-Egon, Boogieman, intro ghost, accessories factory sample/early prototype shown off, they were used for the photo shoot (images on site)
-Boogieman will need the stand that comes with him to stand. The stand basically looks like the type that come with the S.H.Figuarts releases
-Functionality of the P.K.E. Meter, Ghost Bomb, and Trap demonstrated
-Pack is magnetized to back
-Plans for multiple versions of Janine
-Winston set maybe will be shown at Wondercon (March 28-30) but both Winston and Ray sets by Monsterpalooza (May 30-June 1)
-Brett Parson from BlitzCadet is working on the box the set comes in
-No immediate plans for Extreme Ghostbusters but they love them and fans supporting the RGB releases helps them with leverage during meetings with licensors in the future
-Around 48:30, Alex shows the factory samples of Peter and Samhain used for the photo shoot (and clarifies the factory sample is one step past the paint masters that were shown at SDCC)
-Alex confirms they are making Egon's glasses thinner for the final product

On today's Yes Have Some, Mondo's Peter appeared. He revealed Louie the Gangster is fully sculpted and wants to get him in the line at some point. He also teased a figure just "got approved he didn't think because of the robust nature of the detail" and it is" another cool way to get a lot of depth to the collection"

“Robust nature of the detail”
“Cool way to get a lot of depth”

Any guesses?

Separate to this I think he hinted in the GDL podcast the RGB Ecto with Possessed Ecto part swapouts is likely coming.

But I don’t think that’s what he’s referencing here… but maybe?

Louise the Gangster - cool he’s sculpted but waaaay down my list of ghosts I’d like to see tbf.

Would love to see some ghost clone variants of the four Ghostbusters for Citizen Ghost. General Holloway's ghost, Samhain's minions, the mutated Earth spirit that possessed Ecto-1 and Killerwatt would definitely be on my want list. :)

I’d rather they do ghost packs than duplicate figures of the guys but I think this set is inevitable in the second wave. I’d expect Egon in his containment unit space suit is another.

Would prefer the Umpire plus good and evil baseball players to keep costs down.

(Appreciate I suggested a duplicate Janine like 3 posts ago!)

We’d be looking at $400 for a Citizen Ghost pack…

That's a good question. Once they complete the GBs and Janine, then what? Sure, they could do a Louis Tully set down the line. But what's left to do is just the ghosts, gods, and demons? Or pair them with select guests of the week like Dr. Alice Derleth? Or variants of the GBs like Egon's suit in X-Mas Marks the Spot with ghosts? Imagine if they did the giants like Cathulhu, Boogaloo, Murray the Mantis, Stay Puft.

Cthulhu would be cool and a stay puft, sure.

Louis arrived after the show jumped the shark for me. But there might still be demand for that era of the show.

It's why I'm not excited about the idea of multiple Janine head sculpts.

Yeah, but there are some infamous ghosts the Mondo crew must have high up on their list to make like Grundel.

Yeah, Janine is tricky. I don't know if they can get away with just swapping the later Janine head sculpt as her whole body was different to the extent the later era Janine should be a whole different figure. Plus, she's got her iconic civies look but also has been in several different flight suits.

My top wishlist of ghosts would be the OK Corral ghosts if they could get the historical likeness rights for Doc Holiday ,Wyatt Earp and his brothers. I'm fine with the show versions but I think the historical touch would go the extra mile. I'd really love it if they could include miniature versions of the pistols , they used in the famous gun fight. I believe they were different version's of colt models. Maybe some playing card accessories and Doc Holidays dentists chair as accessories?

( I doubt they would have copyright issues using the Colt 1800, 1877 versions. Lol. )

But back to the Night Game figures, I wouldn't be against duplicates of the Busters if they all had the same baseball uniform as Winston or they decided to give Peter, Ray, and Egon uniforms based on what states they were born in. I'd love to see them have another Slimer in a jacket eating a ton of chips, and junkfood. I think that would be kind of fun. As for Janine don't forget her Devil in the Deep look!

There's still 4-5 must have figures and allot more Id want but despite being a huge RGB fan, paying $100 for obscure characters or reskins might be hard to swallow. I'd have to think about Janine at the price.

Grundel,
Knock knock door
People busters
Headless motorcycle rider
Battle dunkeld Ghosts

These are figures are meant to replicate how the characters looked in the cartoon... There's no need for Mondo to make them look historically accurate. It would be needless and potentially prohibitively expensive to pursue.

Happy to forget it. We've already had one fan-wank Ghostbusters collectable figure (Lucy) to last a lifetime. :whatever:

Figures, or figure pack-ins I would be happy buying:

The Grundel
Scaled-down Doomsday Door
Killerwatt
Samhain's goblins
The Werechicken
Doctor McCatheter
Scaled-down Mee-Krah
Scaled-down Watt
Ghost clones
Scaled-down sludge monster from Doctor, Doctor
Shanna O'Callahan
The Headless Motorcyclist

The main ghosts I’d definitely buy and would make good figures (updated):

The Deadly Three
Wāt⠀
The Umpire
Troll Leader & escaped troll
Ghosts R Us
Master of Shadows
Drool mini ghost
Rampage Egon
Rosebud mini ghost
Possessed Ecto
Stay Puft

I guess they could split the Citizen Ghost variants into two packs with other ghosts.

I enjoyed this post a lot. We wait nearly 40 years for RGB figures and Mondo put timeware in charge of production, “here’s all your historically accurate wild west and baseball figures that weren’t on the show!”
