My current top 5 reveals from the Cleanin' Up The Town book:

On page 277, Dan Aykroyd shared he had this idea for Winston in the third movie (no context of when he had this idea), And "in the third movie I wanted to make him our lawyer because of all these environmental problems, we sent him to law school."

On pages 353-354, Neil Krepela recounts how Radio City Music Hall was a real pain to the crew about letting them film on their roof. Radio City kept stalling them, then eventually required them to take out a $12 million or so insurance policy to set up their camera and they had to get filming done before the restaurants opened. On the day, the film crew was directed to the back service elevator because the staff didn't want people in the building to see them. The film crew then had to haul everything up many stairs to the roof. I believe this is for the ghosts let of of the ECU scene. I've heard of the RCA building but never heard of them using Radio City. Anyone recognize the shot?

On page 359, they reveal they found the shooting location for the prison scene in GB1. It was indeed the former New York Police Headquarters on 240 Centre Street. The Buenos asked Derek Osborn, who had the call sheet. On page 361, Joe Cirillo (Police Captain) happened to be detailed there (he had a career as a cop in addition to acting) and also confirmed that was 240 Centre Street.

On page 544, Reginald VelJohnson revealed he had one more scene but it got cut. It was before his scene in the movie and in his words was a little interaction with Peter, Ray, and Egon.

On page 552, Michele Moen told her Bill Murray story. Bill Murray visited Boss Films. One morning, he went up to the matte room and stood behind matte artist Michele Moen as she painted and pretended to slip and fall into her painting, while holding a large coffee.

Not immediately. The tower above Radio City appears too short to have achieved this shot:

-I'd be willing to guess this was shot on top of The Rock itself.

This shot was filmed approximately on or around 455 Madison Avenue:

It wouldn't surprise me if it was for a bit of footage that ended up on the cutting room floor, they might've shot a load of views of the city for the ECU breakout montage, only to use a few that had the most interesting compositions. :whatever:

Nice to have that one confirmed. :)

True, and also previously we knew they shot on top of the RCA Building for the montage.

Hello all. Just curious, might there be any updates on this? Is there a chance we might see this in 2025? Or at least a teaser. Some sort of footage would be just great. Something to tide us impatient fans over. Just a crumb? A crumb of footage?

I gotta see this bad boy. If this is half as good as the first doc? I salivate at the prospect.

They sent an email to subscribers announcing new merch. In it there is a brief update on Too Hot To Handle: "As you know we have been working diligently away on TOO HOT TO HANDLE: Remembering Ghostbusters II. The good news is that the film is now complete, and we couldn’t be prouder or more excited for you to see it!

The next stage before we can release it to the world is completing legal clearances, insurance and final sound and picture post-production. This is not something we can do in-house and as we experienced with Cleanin’ Up The Town, it is without doubt the costliest part of the process. "

Those on the subscriber list were sent an email that included a brief update, "We are unable to say too much at present about Too Hot To Handle other than we remain in a very good place. The film is complete, so we are now deep into the legal aspects of the film, which for a film like this, is complex and time consuming. Be assured we continue to put all our efforts into bringing you the best and most complete film into the making of Ghostbusters II. Thank you for bearing with us."

Claire will be signing books at Blake’s Heaven in Putney, London on August 23 from 11am as well. The SOS Ghostbusters will be present, too.

The price point is great, too! $25.99 printed in the States, so no insane international shipping.

Claire and Anthony have a really cool discussion series coming up called WHO YA GONNA CALL- LIVE! A monthly show featuring cast/crew/creatives from the original GB films.

The first scheduled guests are Bill Bryan, followed by Mark Bryan Wilson and Mark Siegel.

https://buenoproductions.com/films/who- ... call-live/

The idea grew out of the really fun watch party we had with the Cleanin' doc a few months ago with Mark Siegel. There were a lot of really cool stories, Q&A, even a peek into his archive of GB history!

Cool! But I saw each one you have to pay for/or pay for an annual sub and it's on Discord. I'm on the fence, I have to really think about it. And it would really have to be someone they missed out on getting on the docs.

It’s crazy to think this documentary series has been almost 20 years in the making. Right? When did that first announcement teaser happen? 2007? 2008?

Amazing to think how much the franchise has changed since then. 3 more movies. Harold gone. Ivan gone. Michael Gross gone.

Yeah, pretty much. They started working on it in February of 2008. I remember a teaser in 2010. The one that was both GB1 and GB2 material.
