With the arrival of June, members of the Ghostbusters fan community are gearing up for two notable events that are scheduled to take part this month; Ghostbusters Day, which is scheduled to be observed primarily at Hook & Ladder №8 in New York, today... And LGBTQIA+ Pride Month, in commemoration of the Stonewall Riots in 1969, and the wider LGBTQIA+ rights movement in the decades since.

In a combination of the two events, Sony Pictures and the Los Angeles Ghostbusters will be taking part in the annual Los Angeles Pride parade, and in addition to the L.A. team's Ecto-1F, the parade will also see a rare appearance of the original screen-used Ecto-1 prop from 1984.

This would mark the second occasion one of the Ecto-1 filming props has made an appearance at L.A. Pride, as one of the two Ecto-1 props from Ghostbusters: Answer The Call drove along the parade route with employees of Sony Pictures (including Slimer actress Robin Shelby) and members of the fan community at the event back in 2016.

For those wishing to see Ecto-1 and the Los Angeles Ghostbusters' appearance, the parade is set to begin on Sunday 8th June at 11am and run until 3:30pm PDT. The parade will begin at Sunset Boulevard and Highland Avenue, then move east onto Hollywood Boulevard, then make its way south onto Cahuenge Boulevard, before finishing at the junction of Cahuenga and Sunset Boulevards.

I wonder why they went with the OG and not one of the more road-friendly FE Ectomobiles. They even had the red beginnings of two pride stripes! Ooooooh, the yellow stripes could be caution stripes.

Glad to see it getting some use, though!
