Have you accumulated a huge Ghostbusters Collection? Talk about what you have and show it off!

Ok...So I'm a life long ghostbusters fan. The first movie is literally the first memory i have in life and as a kid, i had most of The Real Ghostbusters line of figures. Not everything but the vast majority of them.

Never got into Extreme Ghostbusters figures because while i liked the show i dident like the designs of the gear, and then their was a lull in anything ghostbusters for a good 10-15 years or so then we would get a flood of things from Funko Pop to Mattel..etc.

Missed out on a bunch of those, but id say since just before Afterlife i've been reasonably up to date with the collection.

I got the entire line of the Kenner Classic Real Ghostbusters figures...Most of the Plasma Series figures sans the Louis Tully and Slimed Hero figures...i got pre ordered all of the currently avalable Mondo The Real Ghostbusters figures...got the Afterlife Haslab pack, (which i paid more for since i missed the campaign) the 84 and afterlife wands, the 2 in the box set trap and PKE Meeter, Ordered both the Haslab Ecto1's which i cant wait for christmas for...Will be getting the Ghostbusters 2 Funko Pops, and will be picking up the 84 proton pack and rooftop figures next year.

I was looking forward to the Blitzway 2.0 figures and when i found out the price today i was like, ya know what...its not worth it to me, and seriously enough is enough. Don't get me wrong i think those figures are likely going to be the best Ghostbusters Figures money can buy, but they are out of my price range currently and fit into the topic of "When i'm rich ill get them".

If money was no object and i could spare no expense i'd have my own firehouse filled with collectables. Hell, the Blitzway figures and both ecto-1's would be the centerpiece of my collection.

But im not rich (I'm Al...see what i did there, lol) and as a fan and fellow collector...i wonder about my fellow fans, at what point do you go..."Na Im good?"

Me personally if i dont see the value for dollar when it comes to things. I get figures can be rare, or in limited or exclusive runs, and laws of economics and supply and demand apply... but im also wondering at what point do you fellow collectors go..."Ok enough is enough"

Heres another issue i have too as a collector...theres still things from the movies that id love to own, but as far as i know have never been issued out as toys or collector items.

Id love a bluetooth enabled dancing toaster...havent seen a single one of those. Would have to build one of my own. Id love to see an updated Firehouse playset, or lifesize The Real Ghostbusters props like the packs and gear...would have to 3d Print that stuff or find someone else to do it on etsy or something.

As a fan and collector, sometimes its more frustrating then fun because of all the pre orders, timed exclusives, limited runs, etc..

I do miss the good old days back in the 80s where you diden't even know about this stuff unless you saw it on a store shelf and bought it right then and there.

Now if you dont pre order it within the first 5 seconds of it being available, you might have to pay double from a shady reseller...it just fuels my anxiety sometimes.

What are your current thoughts on collecting thing and when something is a must have, or when you can take a pass on other things?

Well personally I prefer 80% to collect the 1:1 props (Matty and Hasbro). I like the Matty figures (because I love GBTVG) and the Blitzway figures (because they are the best) and the Neca Dancing Slimer too though (because I've seen the original 1984 SFX cast collect those, and it's a really really good sculpt) . Though I have a hard time displaying figures, they just sit in a closed cupboard.

I didn't get the Haslab Ecto or the 1/8th scale Ecto because I wouldn't know how to display a 2 foot car in my living space.

My ideal would be to have a GB1/GB2 screen used pack, trap and PKE. That would be the holy grail. Maybe one day.

I know that some people collect everything, absolutely everything, including lunchboxes, which is awesome.

My only GB display is this right now:
