So about a month ago, I made my Pack some brackets for holding the shell to the motherboard out of aluminum and metal rivets. Said motherboard is one made of hardboard, and had pre-drilled holes for an Alice Frame, and came with hardware for one too.

Anyways, once I was done making my brackets, I had some left over rivets. So I looked at then and thought, "what if I just put them in the Alice frame screw-holes?" Reason being was that so I didnt have to use nuts and washers to hold the frame on, making it easier to remove if needed. So yeah... that's what I did, however now I'm kind of starting to second guess my decision.

Now, they hold in well, with none of them being loose in their holes, but I'm more so worried about long-term them coming loose if the hardboard starts to degrade, and/or from the natural movements of me wearing and using my pack. I heard that you should use washers to reinforce them for this material, but unfortunately didn't do that. Instead, I did the next best thing, which was to slather some epoxy around both sides of the rivets (the pictures are from before I did this). While that has made them hold even better, I still can't shake my fears of my pack falling off the frame.

Does anybody have any recommendations on what, if anything, to do?
