if you got that to work then I would move up to the lights and sounds. It combines the powercell, cyclotron, and venting into a single string of neopixels, adds in the wand lights and button support, and adds the sounds. Getting the sx-1509 with the bargraph is a bit more complex and can be easily added on once you have all of the main control and light code done.

I got the wand to work. I'm working on the bargraph now. Is that the code that said wand and bargraph? Also how do I go about added music to the sound board?

I wired up the bargraph like the pic showed. I don't have fzz reader. And uploaded the wand and bargraph file. Now nothing turns on. I have wire.h and sx1509. I reupload the wand and the lights and sound wire. Am I missing a step or a library?

You are basically where twbb76 was on the previous page of this thread. The same troubleshooting steps you will.need to go through. Check those posts from the last week.

my code uses the default address of the board. No modification needed

So the sx1509 has different versions 2.01 will let my light and sound work but still no bar and the newest version nothing work. What are all the libraries I need I think I have them all? But maybe I'm missing one. Has anyone else build a lights and sound with bargraph recently?

These are 7 years old now so I'm sure there are updates. I did find an update on the v3 library.

Please be aware that v3 of the library breaks previous version compatiblity on a few things:

Wire.begin() must be called explicitly within the Arduino sketch before io.begin() is called. This may break code that does not have Wire.begin().
io.begin() has been expanded to include io.begin(deviceAddress, wirePort, resetPin). This may break code where resetPin was the 2nd argument.

I'm guessing that's what is wrong.

Removed the sx1509 library and reinstalled yours from your library and the lights and sound work I found that I had the bargraph flipped now the bargraph is working.

I believe I found graphic sheets here in the forums and scaled them and printed them out. It's been a while, I'll see if I can find the sheets I used.

I'm looking to see what someone would charge to make just the power cell bar and cyclotron lights module for me. No sound just lights on boot up and that's it. I need 4 of them. You can make them however you like. Arduino nano is fine. The picture is just a reference.
