Anyone have any ideas on how I can modify the Kenner RGB PKE meter? Cosmetics only, no electronics.

I'm going to a convention next month and I just ordered a PKE meter from eBay. I'd like to modify it so it looks more legit and less like a kids toy. any ideas? no electronics being added, this is purely modifying it from a cosmetic standpoint.

If it follows the design of the RGB trap, then you can unscrew it and give the body a primer coat and then when dry a final coat in your choice of colour. Satin Black for instance. Weathering can then be added.

For the dial and the antenna you could paint them a matching metallic colour or 2 opposing ones.

Once all paint is dry a black and brown wash to dull them down and then silver for highlighting and 'scratches'.
Then a clear coat to seal it all in.

It depends on what you prefer and what colours call out to you. Have fun :-)

Unfortunately this one cannot be disassembled. I think it was done together as a mould
