I actually think im going to sit this one out. I haven't decided yet but im leaning towards "Im good without it". Heres the thing. I think its a fine figure. Its well designed, sculpted, and the ghosts are cool and all, and im glad they are making it, but outside of the two packs of the guys, its not a must have for me. Its not that "Dynamic" ya know. Not that i dont have love for Janine, and i do think the price is reasonable, its just, well its her sitting at a desk maybe getting kissed by slimer, with other ghosts crawling out of the drawers. If she was in uniform and had a proton pack, it be an instant sell...and i hope they make that figure down the road. I think she deserves that. Its just...idk not for me, im still debating on it. Louis, in uniform is a must have....ill be getting that down the road. But her, just sitting at her desk...i get it, thats what she did most of the series, but, idk it would just look out of place having the entire team busting ghosts and shes in the middle sitting at a desk! Call me crazy. But maybe if it doesnt sell out, down the road i might pick it up later on. Ill see.

The Mondo figures don't "sell out" like convention figures as all of Mondo's are made to order, but Janine, like the two-figure editions, does have a limited purchase window which will close on March 10th.

Yeah, after March 10, you'll only be able to get this Janine on the secondary market like ebay for a premium, they might have a limited stock for sale during a convention (they did so with the Peter & Samhain set at NYCC 2025), and if you're really lucky she could pop up in their Warehouse Finds section on the Mondo website.

She has a pair of regular, articulated legs that you can swap out at the waist, if that's your big concern.

I’m in on Janine but I’d skip another Boogeyman and 50/50 on Louis and Grundel… swaying towards skipping them as well. But only because I think that will allow me to justify buying more of the line later if they do more season one or bigger figures.

From memory, Grundel is at the very tail end of the show’s popularity in the UK, when it was being moved around the schedules. It’s the last memorable villain for me (I dont recall Peoplebusters being shown over here). I’m not sure I have enough nostalgia for it or Louis to justify the cost.

I was thinking about this, and actually my nostalgia for the characters of RGB pretty much stops at what's been released/announced so far, even to the point that I think I'll skip Louis. I would, however, be very much in for larger-scale ghosts (like Stay Puft, or Murray the Mantis) and the Citizen Ghost RGBs, even though they'd be effectively repaints. If this was a more budget-friendly line, I'd definitely go all in, but each purchase of these is a serious thought process.

I can't remember if it was during the weekday broadcasts, or the weekend (I think Big Trouble with Little Slimer was a Saturday morning broadcast), but I can confirm Flip Side was shown in the U.K.

Only a handful of hours until Janine goes live! :):eyeroll:

I could be misremembering but at one stage I think the show randomly appeared on ITV Sunday lunchtime.

Janine ordered!

dalbyspook wrote: February 24th, 2026, 10:16 am Janine is live now. Irritatingly, shipping is now $54.72, as opposed to the $34.38 I paid for Ray.
The shipping cost seems to have bounced about quite a lot from figure to figure...
Shipping for Peter and Samhain was $46.91.
Shipping for Egon and Boogieman was $31.23.
Shipping for Winston and Sandman was $46.91.
Shipping for Ray and Gnash was $34.38.
Shipping for Halloween Edition Samhain was $50.06.

We don't know if there will be a regular edition yet. Presumably. BBTS probably will if there is one since they have the regular editions of the 4 Ghostbusters. If there is one, would the price be halved (i.e. the GBs were 202 and 101) so in theory a regular Janine will be 70? Shrug.
#5008513
I’m not so sure there will be a regular edition. I think they’ve (correctly imo) calculated that receptionist Janine is a niche proposition compared to the four guys, and that’s why she’s bundled with her desk and only available for a shorter window.

I must admit this one has caused me to pause - I like the idea, and one of her head sculpts (eyebrows raise) seems superior to the others, but also we’re heading into firehouse diorama territory. I may keep her boxed and sealed in case a suited variant with ghost appears later down the line…

Maybe this makes a containment unit set more likely.

I'm hoping there's a regular edition. lol. Toothless ate my wallet and forgot to leave me crumbs last week. I'm not going to be able to pre-order so hopefully I can when I recover from my trip to Epic. But yeah, this is the one figure I'd like to get as she has the desk set up.

I would strongly suggest you buy this in the preorder window if you want it.

Afterwards, it won’t be available in any form other than ebay sellers. There is no other edition.

If you're able to get the money together somehow, you've got until 11:59am central time on the 10th of March to pre-order.
Like others have said, there likely won't be a "regular" edition of this set, if there had been one planned, they would've advertised it alongside the one that's on the site now.

Yes, that's correct. On the Mondo livestream today, Hector confirmed there will be NO regular edition for this Janine with Desk release (but hinted there could be more Janine figures in the future like in a flightsuit). Hector also hinted the next reveal will be at San Diego Comic Con.

Well, at least people have the Ray release to look forward to first. They got Ray & Ghash, Samhain 2.0, Janine, ???, and Louis & Grundel in the bank in various stages of production and whatever else in the concept stages. They gotta pump the brakes on pre-orders at some point to keep things sane.

I’m surprised we didn’t get a Janine and Wot figure tbh. Would’ve preferred it to the desk. But I shouldn’t complain.

Presuming on very flimsy evidence we get a larger Stay Puft or Ecto-1 second half of 2026. I wonder if they then return to the two-pack format in 2027 with variants of the guys and deeper cut ghosts. But would alternate versions of the guys sell as individual figures?

Agree, but on the other hand - a W-A-T pack similar to the Samhain pack would be cool - W-A-T, Mrs. Rogers with Precious in birdcage, Precious real form, a possessed Peter head you can swap with your Peter figure.

Certainly will be interesting to see what they do after Louis & Grundel. Or how the hell they'll decide on which flightsuit to use for Janine since she's been depicted in 6 through the run of RGB (dream flightsuit, brown w/light blue trim, Peter's, Egon's, pink with blue trim, pink with purple trim) and different portraits/heads but if they're crazy attention to detail, the later depictions of Janine are taller than OG Janine because the Makeoveris made her 8 cm taller total over the years. The Ghostbusters in their stock civies seems possible (i.e. Egon in pink colored shirt, red suspenders, brown slacks) with 4 more of the A-list ghosts. But what about the small circle of recurring supporting cast, would they gamble on those or make smaller runs of them? The guest stars. Or the B, C, D list ghosts.

The other characters are so niche I’m not sure there’s gonna be a market.

The postage for Janine was steep, altogether the figure came in at £145 - nearly as much as a normal two pack… and I don’t see the desk being worth an extra $40 tbh, as the $101 figures had other accessories too…

This has definitely ruled me out of Louis and Grundel.

I think we can narrow that list down. :)

The "pink with blue trim" and "pink with purple trim" uniforms were worn by post-Q5 Janine... As Mondo's upcoming release is Janine Classic™, I think it's reasonably safe to conclude that we won't see Janine wearing either of those two designs (which were both garish and sexist).

That leaves us with "white with red" (Mr. Sandman, Dream Me a Dream), "light brown with light blue trim" Janine's Genie and "brown with green trim" Janine Melnitz, Ghostbuster).

I'm inclined to believe Mondo won't use "white with red", as that was on a dream version of Janine. I'm also inclined to believe that as it's identical to Peter's uniform, Mondo wouldn't use "brown with green trim".

Of the six, I think "light brown with light blue trim" is the most likely choice Mondo would make... It's uniquely Janine's when compared to the uniforms worn by the Ghostbusters, without being a horrid colour... Or the product of misogynistic consultant spit-balling, it's from a notable Janine-centric episode, and it would allow Mondo to neatly pair the Ghostbuster edition of her up with one of her personal enemies from the show's original run: the Genie (Either in turban-wearing creep form, or demon-dog form... Or in a left-field move, his Schwarzenegger-demonic half-form).

As it stands, I'm not interested in any portrait's of Jainne's post-Q5 designs... I'd only ever buy them if they came with a ghost figure that was extremely appealing to me. :whatever:

After the Ghost Clones, the Ghostbusters in civilian gear would make sense, though I'd be concerned these would be too niche to be worth the development cost.

I could see Mondo releasing a set of Citizen Ghost variant of the guys wearing their tan suits (which actually is how they could potentially pack the Ghost Clones, either each Ghost Clone comes with their corresponding human Ghostbuster, or each Ghost Clone comes with a different Ghostbuster, leading you to have to buy them all).

As for other humans (though this delves deeper into limited-interest territory): Peter's Dad, Dr. Bassingame, Cynthia Crawford, Officer Frump, and Walter Peck.

Ok, you've thought out future Janine releases for Mondo. Cheers. :P

Yeah, the Citizen Ghost doppelgangers seem like a given. Plus, they could include spare portraits, hands with the flashback Ghostbusters in the episode so you swap between human and ghost if you want.

Yeah, that's who I was alluding to. can these recurring generate good enough sales or will they have to do packs of alternate Ghostbusters (i.e. in their stock civies), a recurring cast member, companion ghost. Cause I'm probably in the miniority but would an Alice Derleth, for example, I'd love that but would 1200 people also dig that and preorder if there wasn't a GB or A-list ghost? But you can to factor, we got collectors and resellers and the rest are the really for lack of better terms hardcore RGB fans. Not all RGB fans are buying these 100-200+ sets. How they decide the mix of characters in their packs after Louis is only gonna get tougher for them. But they have their list of favorites and on the livestreams, they see who's getting frequently requested.

zeta otaku wrote:Maybe they'll just do ghost packs for a bit? I'd love to see the imps/giga imp as a whole pack (kinda shocked they didn't pack at least ONE with Janine and her desk).
I'd dig that. Like I think I said before, the Samhain Halloween Edition doubled as a nice gauge to see how a ghost only pack would sell vs. the numbers the GB-Ghost packs have gotten for them. You know I think they mentioned thinking about doing some imps for Janine's release but went with the Genie's ghost buddies.

From a purely visual standpoint I always loved her white with red uniform. It suited her character. My dream figure for Janine would be that colour scheme, personally. It’s also the first time she appears in uniform and in a most popular episode. Whilst I agree with your logic I hope Alex’s artist instincts are to go with the white/red version.
