That's what it looks like to me. You pull out the inner trap and swap in the one that's sucking in a ghost. Hopefully one of the busters comes with an open trap with energy effect without any ghost inside. If 202 is the actual price, and the releases being half a year or so apart, I'm very tempted to grab the two packs. At least the first two shown since Sam and Boogey are my favorite spooks from the toon. If Winston comes with Sandman like I assume he will I may pass on the two pack and just go with him solo since while cool Sandman wasn't one I feel I need. I think the only other spook I'd really want is what, the possessor T-Rex.

Timed release. Alternatively, the Ghostbusters will be sold as individual figures.

Hmmm in which case I may duck out of Boogeyman to keep the whole set affordable.

As a kid for some reason I never saw the Boogeyman episode here in the UK. It wasn’t until the Time Life set I became aware it was a fan favourite.

Great design on the figure, I just don’t have the same nostalgia for the character.

Yeah. I only really wanted to get Egon and Samhain myself, heh heh. The $202 is not a number I expected. I thought 100 but I was being naive I guess.

Im glad we are getting high quality figures, but the price is going to limit the line. Not going to get anything close to the neca turtles line up.

Part of me kind of wished Hasbro did some $20 RGB figures, something i wouldn't mind buying for kids

The fright features re-release is still widely available.

These were always going to be premium collectors figures.

We also don’t know how much the figures will cost without the ghost.

I love the fact that Mondo's sticking it to the scalpers. I can get behind the ghosts and RGB's being available separately. A $100 for an action figure is still pricey but it's more doable for those of us planning to save for it. I would imagine the price for a single figure without the Ghost would be cut in half. Wishful thinking though.

The only ghosts I'd really like would be the boogey man or Sam.

I assume the collectors edition won’t be available after the pre-order window, which in the case of Haslab has meant you can still buy to sell - however, Real Ghostbusters resale value is kinda inconsistent. Some stuff goes for loads, other stuff seems almost worthless.
Ideally I’d wanna buy 3 copies: one to open, one to store sealed and one to sell to make back some of the money. In reality I’ll be buying one.

I guess the price of a single ghostbuster will come in under $100.. EDIT: confirmed to be $101. That’s pretty steep oh well!

Was it mentioned how posable the figures are? I'd love to have Ray sitting on the Ecto like in the cartoon. They'd look great next to the Frozen Empire Ecto popcorn buckets as well. Which should be shipping out next month finally.

Think of it this way, if you can afford a grown-up Lego set (or anything Lego these days.) you can basically get the two pack, but that depends on your priorities. Lol. Most of the upcoming sets runt from $150 to $300. What's up with the extra dollar on the figures? Seems kind odd it wouldn't be $99.99.

I think in the early days of RGB being broadcast on ITV/CITV, they skipped it for some reason... As we didn't have it on our Betamax/VHS recordings in those early years, and we were pretty good at taping the episodes when they aired.
I do remember that it eventually did get broadcast (and we taped it) around the time that CITV was showing episodes like The Grundle and Standing Room Only, which seemed a little jarring, given Lorenzo and then later Arsenio departed the voice cast, and Janine was undergoning her Q5 revamp. I think Lost and Foundry might've also been aired around this time as well.

I'll definitely be getting the two-packs... The Ghostbusters are the best execution of the cartoon designs that have ever been produced, and finally getting official large-scale figures of Samhain, Boogieman, and other notable ghosts is a dream come true. :)

Sandman seems like a clear partner for Winston. I'm not too sure about Ray, though the Keystone Ghost from Bustman's Holiday would work as the mini-ghost accessory. If a big ghost with a specific tie to Ray can't be found (as cool as the Winged Puma would be, I think the reduction in size so it can fit in the packaging would make it less likely), then I'd be happy with the Grundle being his big ghost accessory.

Sandman
Wāt⠀
Ghash
Giant Imp
The Umpire
Troll Leader
Killawatt
Blackie
The Grundel
Ghosts R Us
Master of Shadows
Knock Knock - Possessed Train
Sea Fright Pirates
Giant Blue Slimer - Adventures in Slime & Space
Drool mini ghost
Rampage Egon
Rosebud mini ghost

That’s all the major ones that could work as figures off the top of my head. I’m sure I missed plenty but the later episodes I kind of ignore, including Peoplebusters…

I mean I'm curious how they'd do the Ghostbusters doppelgangers from Citizen Ghost or the Peoplebusters.

Some others I'd nom: Cathulhu. Headless Horseman. Belleranthon. Bird of Kildarby. Proteus. Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Hob Anagarak. Bog Hound. Necksa. Undying One. Thole. Were-Chicken. The Collector. Kestrel. Boogaloo.

Nobody want's Doc Holiday, or the Earp brothers? Heck I'd love to see the figures made if not to piss off the modern day Clantons. They like to revise history in favor of the Clanton Gang in Tombstone. But yeah, I'd love to see Mondo take a shot at the People busters. (See what I did there?)

You know what I haven't seen mention of at this point, and it's probably a pipe dream considering that no RGB licensee seems to have done anything since Mattel, but...you know? this lady was kind of a big deal in that show? Make a great two-pack with the lotsabucks or the Genie.

Heck, I wouldn't care, but I know there are people who'd probably like this schmuck with Dr. MacCatheter or the Ghostmaster or something?
#4999332
I can see Janine either packaged with the Genie (which version though? The goggle-wearing Paul Lynde version, or the demonic dog version? I'd be tempted to go with demonic dog), or Proteus, seeing as she defeated him single-handedly. I'd imagine Mondo would have her in her office attire, but if they went the uniform route, I'd almost be tempted to go with the uniform scheme she when her dream self fought the Sandman.

I'd still like to have the option of being able to buy both separately at half the cost. They could always switch it up by packing the single figures with display pieces or parts of a figure to build an exclusive Ghost. There would probably be those of us who would by the 2 pack line, and the single line just to get those extra pieces or exclusive ghost.
