Since Frozen Empire shot in England they have to do an audit or something of all the films costs for tax purposes. That’s how we know how much Disney spent on all the Star Wars movies and some of the marvel movies. This info is public info. It could even be available now I’m not sure, I wouldn’t even know where to look.
I've been lurking, but not actively participating for a few weeks....what do you mean Richardless left?

My understanding is that he decided to no longer contribute to the forum here. If I recall he disagreed with a course of action taken by a MOD.

While Richardless and I got heated over the years, we did become civil at some point. Lol. I still enjoyed our debates. Kind of sucks he left like that but he's always welcome back. Kept us on our toes. Maybe if we say his name three times...

Wild. I’ve had my spats with folks here, including Richardless. I still come back because the overall discussion of Ghostbusters is more important. Hopefully he reconsiders.

Agreed. I sent him a PM hoping he’d reconsider but maybe he just needs time to cool off? I duno. He & I started off with some friction on here but then randomly started talking by PM. A few months back he shared with me a script he wrote for an alternate GB3 & I’ll be honest, @ first i started reading it expecting it to be like most fan scripts. Which is pretty lame. But holy crap I actually tempered my reaction to him bcuz I didn’t want him to think I was blowing smoke. It was legitimately great & funny. He shared it via 1 of those expiring links so I wish I would’ve kept a copy. Sometimes I wish I hadn’t read it bcuz I know it’s something I’ll never get to see.

Damnit. I had a whole joke ready for next time he would go over the word limit of a single post. Wanted to call him Rambleless. Now I can't.

Having read back his 'last words', I can understand his decision. He didn't connect with the last 3 movies. Which sucks deeply ofcourse. I can understand his decision to move on.

It is a shame, but his criticisms seemed to basically boil down to wanting GB84 all over again. And… that’s never going to happen, so it did get kind of repetitive bashing the new movies that were decent in their own right and other fans were enjoying imo to just then read GB fanfic ideas that were inferior to what was being criticised. Harsh, but if there’s no other way Richardless could engage then there’s not much point.

As some1 who read his version of a 3rd film I duno if this is true. Or @ least his script didn’t read like a retread. I’ve read a lot of fan scripts & this was— There’s no way that was his 1st script. I wish I could share 1 scene in particular.

It must be hard for sum fans who don’t like “the new”, right? To others it comes off as wanting the same thing but when I read disappointed Star Trek, GB or Star Wars fans, a lot of them it’s not that they want what they had it’s just that they don’t want *that*. Younger kids as GB’s for example. It seems like they want what they had bcuz to them that’s what worked b4 so what else is there to point to?

I sensed frustration with Rich & others who wished desperately they could love the new movies. Sum fans love just toiling in the misery but it seemed he really envied those of us who really love the new films.

I was a long, looong time lurker here. One of his posts a few months back finally inspired me to pull the proverbial trigger & officially join the community. I think I first came across this site circa 2008 or 2009? Whenever Bill Murray showed up at that awards show with a proton pack. I remember seeing a picture of it here for the first time all those years ago. Crazy. :P

Then I was going to make an account when the trailer came out for the 2016 reboot but I didn’t have anything postive to say & I didn’t want to add to any negativity. Life’s too short. That was an ugly time. :(

Just like the person above I managed to read a bit of his fan script but couldn’t finish due to the link expiring. The 30 or so pages I read seemed really cool. Shockingly humorous. If you are still around here Mr. Less I’d love a new link(or if anyone else has a copy?) :)
