OMG how have I never seen that??
What the context of that? They totally should’ve used that as a trailer. That’s hilarious. I love GB2 stuff I’ve never seen before. Thanks so much for sharing that Rob!
Do we know why they didnt use it? It’s brilliant. I gotta watch it again
Isn't it great?! I'm very glad you enjoyed it!
It’s terrific. I think I’ve watched it like a dozen times since you posted it. Yet another reason why this website is so awesome. Here was this new piece of GB2 content sitting under my nose, I even own the set it comes in, but it takes someone like you to post it for me to see.
I keep thinking in my head “How could they not use that!?l” it’s so perfect for a teaser.
You know what it reminds me of? A little bit. Kids of the 1990s will remember this but back in the day studios use to make little short film teasers for their big tent pole films. Not unlike the one from Afterlife except some were pretty major & elaborate.
For example the first teaser for the Sam Raimi/Tobey Spider-Man was this crazy bank robbery sequence where these thugs rob a bank mid day, manage to escape by flying away in a helicopter when suddenly the helicopter jerks to a complete stop mid air. Alarms sound in the chopper. The thugs start to freak when the chopper is pulled back at tremendous speed before the camera pulls out to reveal the helicopter stuck in a massive spiderweb weaved halfway between the twin towers. Then we see some quick shots of Spider-Man in action.
Of course it was JUST pre 9/11 when the teaser came out. Then it was pulled.
Anyways the trailer u showed reminded me a bit of that. There were a few other famous ones. Terminator 2, Jurassic Park, Godzilla, War of the Worlds, Hulk.
What a missed opportunity. But any chance to see more of the boys is great. Thanks again
