Can I run these lights without a wand? My pack is using a Hasbro wand, but currently has no lights. I bought both ring lights, the power cell, and the soundboard. Second, would this be compatible with GhostLab42's Spengler Link? I know he makes the electronics kits for GBFans, so I figured I'd ask about compatibility.

Yes. You can hook up a switch directly to the pack on input, and any wand related switches to the others.

Unfortunately I do not know. I can't see how the Spengler Link actually connects to the other kits. In theory if the Spengler link outputs a on signal, you could use it for the "Wand on" switch input.

I just got the board, cyclotron and vent board, and power cell lights and they are awesome. But I am having one issue with the cyclotron lights. Outside of the Afterlife configuration, I'm not getting any animation with the lights consistently. Most of the time the 'D' light is the only one blinking. The few times I had it all working, the lights went through a multi-colored sequence at power-up and cycled fine. I would then turn off the power and everything would start up fine for awhile and then after a few off/on cycles, it would go back to just the single light blinking. None of the other light and sound functions seem to be affected. Did I mess something up?

You do need to set the number of Cyclotron LEDs using "ADJ1" on the potentiometer.

The settings are 4, 24, 32 and 40. This allows use of the 4 LED version like you have as well as other Cyclotron rings for Spirit packs and 80% scale packs.

I've updated the product page with specific instructions: https://www.gbfans.com/shop/pack-cyclot ... ght-board/
When using these boards with 4-LEDs you must adjust the potentiometer on the main board labeled "ADJ1". Rotate this potentiometer counterclockwise until a 4-LED rainbow appears and rotates.
You can have power connected, but the pack in the OFF state. When you do it like that, the LEDs will light up as a rainbow in the cyclotron.

Hey so I recently bought all of the electronics except for the wand lights kit since I wanted to use my spengler wand instead and I was wondering if there was a way to vent the pack separately from the wand lights kit? Like just adding a button or switch wired to the board that activates the venting sequence? Or if adding multiple wired buttons to specific sections allow it to cycle through certain modes like the spengler wand does like proton stream, slime blower, stasis stream and meson collider?

Hi, I have two questions about the Vent LED ring;

- Would it function with an older version of the lights/sounds board from 2019? Or will it only function with the newer version?

- What is the outer diameter of the Vent LED ring? The last piece I need to add to my pack is the N-Filter, I want to make sure this’ll fit when I eventually add it.

Thank you!!

I have another thing to say so the stuff just arrived today but the speaker won't produce any sounds with it connected to the slots Is there like a trouble shooting guide I could follow? I set up the lights in the afterlife mode but the sound won't work I've tried various other speakers to maybe test if it would work and none of them make any sound despite it all of them being new. I assumed that the connections where perhaps in the wrong order but I flipped them in various orders and non seem to even pick up any sound. I also tried the other slot for the speaker and it still doesn't do anything? Do I have to maybe set it up first in a specific order before achieving the sound?

Thank you for your time and any help is greatly appreciated it would be a shame if the product is perhaps faulty or maybe I'm missing something

Yes. If you wire up a switch to the vent connection on the light and sound controller, it will work to activate the venting in the same way as if you had a wand kit connected.

I know I answered you via email, but I'll say it here too. The vent ring is 2-7/8" OD. It is not compatible with older sound or light kits.

Two things to try:

Connect an external audio source from the sound in and see if it plays through your speaker. This will determine if it is the sound module or something else.

Connect an external speaker to it to determine if it is your speaker.

Common issue: The SD Card or audio module can get damaged during shipping. Plug the SD card into a computer and / or check the SD card for breaks or cracks. (Also just make sure it is there in general, because if it popped out during shipping, it won't play any sounds either!)

The only thing that would immediately jump out at me is if you had the switch connected to the wrong port either on the light and sound controller or on the wand itself. Make sure the DIP switches are in the correct spots for both as well (not sure if you are using a wand kit).
