• The Grungy family's appearance are a parody of The Simpsons who were very new in popular culture at the time this episode was written.
• The Grungy family take their appearance from The Simpsons, but the names of them come from parodies of the Bundy family on Married...with Children.

• The title is a parody of an old movie, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.
